Morning all :hello:
Child benefit has been paid today :j into my spare account. Ths spare account is much more organised now which helps. My loan and home insurance come out of this account, as well as bank charges , hopefully for the last time :T so the CB will cover all of these and have a bit left over to save. The long term plan is to forget about this account and let the savings build up. CB was never intended to pay for the loan and house insurance but when I changed bank accounts over a few years back, their switcher team never changed these 3 payments over and it was easier for me at the time to leave it.
Tomorrow, fingers crossed, tax credits will be paid into my account. I've got -£4 in my account so it's needed, but like I said a while back, I would have normally plunged into the od on my spare account but have managed to avoid that this time around

So far, I've spent £570 on groceries this month which is absolutely ridiculous and I know we need other things, which will take this over the £600 mark. One of the changes I'm gong to make is switch to supermarket own brand nappies, I have used these before without problem, but I had vouchers for Pampers when dd was first born and I just stuck with them, not any more though
One I make all the payments that are due in June, I should be under the £10k mark which will make it sound a lot better and with me returning to work next month, the plan is that I will have more money, at the moment though I don't know what my financial situation will be like so it'll be a case of waiting and seeing
(this causes me a lot of worry)
Anyway, I'm off to check some diaries...

Hmmmm :undecided
I've had to put £190 ish on the visa. I received my home insurance quote today with my 10+ yrs no claims and it had gone up, so I shopped around via Top Cash Back and got a much better quote. I was all set to pay monthly but realised it added up to £60 more so I bit the bullet and put the full cost on the visa and I feel awful about it, but the money I save can go to pay the extra off the visa but it just goes to show how my mindset has changed. Also, I'm worried that it hasn't gone through the cash back site properly. We will see
If I'd had a build up of savings I could have gave the visa a miss

I think we are all going to come accross these problems in our debt journey. Especially at the beginning when we haven't got all the systems worked out. The good thing is we are doing this with our eyes open.
Well done for paying off the Next debt. That must feel good! And a big milestone in June for you! Something really exciting to look forward to.Grocery Challenge £114.22/ £1100 -
Thanks for popping by on my diary. Well done on clearing your Next bill! Your getting to be very organised and under 10k that must feel pretty good.

Hello Diary...
I've not much to report to be honest but just wanted to check in. I've just over a week until pay day. Between now and the end of the month I'm going not work for a couple of hours each day to slowly ease myself back into it, the good thing about this is that I will get paid, roughly around £30 each time. I'll get this money at the end of June so it will be a big help. A lot of people have questioned if I'm right to go back and whether it would be financially worthwhile...this worries me because I genuinely don't know the answer and it'll be a case of waiting and seeing but I'm very apprehensive about returning back anyway so this sort of talk does nothing to help.
Bye for nowProud to be dealing with my debts :T

Thanks for commenting on my diary

I've just read through yours and you are doing really well! I think we all encounter setbacks and it's how you deal with them that counts. It seems like you've stuck at it and soldiered on without panicking or letting it get on top of you. Well done! You should be proud of yourself

I'm ammoyed with myself today. I done my shopping on line yesterday and forgot to use one of the cash back sites  I hate it when I do things like that.
Other half got a speeding fine at the weekend so that's £60 down the pan as well
4 days till pay day though and then I'll feel better cause I'm not sure what my wage will be this month as I've done additional days so I might have more money than I've budgeted for. If I do **keeps fingers crossed** I'll probably just leave it to eat up some of the OD. We will seeProud to be dealing with my debts :T

Still not a great deal to report at the moment, waiting for Thursday for it to be pay day and then for June 6th for the dd to pay minimum on cc, after which I'm gong to make an additional payment. I didn't realise that, making an additional payment before the dd comes out actually reduces the minimum amount they take. After this payment is made I want to make sure that I pay £300 per month on the cc. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for that though.
I've a few things selling on eBay at the moment :T nothing extravagant, only 99p's in fact but it's a step in the right direction...still waiting for Music Magpie to cough up.
Well report back in a few days x :wave:Proud to be dealing with my debts :T
