I know that, it's just fun seeing him putting in his usual performance.0 -

No worries.
To be honest, I'm not sure what it is you want shortchanged to say or do, but I will leave you guys to it.0 -

Oh come on now shortchanged. You're just making yourself look silly. Are you seriously saying that you can't scroll up a discussion thread to see previous posts AND that you're so befuddled that you can't remember a post from just a few minutes ago? Come on mate, it's a forum not rocket science.
*sigh*
Here is the post again:RenovationMan wrote: »Please repost your claim on this thread that you predicted the UK economy would go back into recession. :rotfl:
To break it down for you,
1. "Repost" - This means find your previous post and 'quote it'.
2. "On this thread" - This means that the previous post I am asking your to 'quote' is actually on this thread!
3. "Back" - this means 'go back into recession' (i.e. a double dip), not 'go into recession' (i.e. a prediction that the UK would initialy go into recession)
4. Put it all together. "Repost" your claim "On this thread" that you said the UK economy would go "back" into recession.
Phew! :rotfl:0 -
No worries.

To be fair, you have to have been there at the start of the discussion AND actually care. I fall into the former, but not sure I fall into the latter anymore.
Basically shortchanged claimed he predicted the recession and made a big song and dance about it. As he wasn't actually a member of this forum when the recession started I was intrigued by who he predicted the recession to. I asked as much. He is now frantically trying to re-write history and crack on he predicted no such thing, hence the several thousand posts on the subject.
Predicting the recession would have been quite a feather in a forum member's cap, especially if it was well before the recession occurred. Predicting that we would go back into recession during a period where the economy has been bouncing along the floor is not that impressive. My 7 year old could have done it, indeed I dont think she thought we even came out of recession.
Anyhow, shortchanged claimed that he was some sort of guru for predicting the bleeding obvious. :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

It was bleeding obvious was it?
Is that what the government, and all the other so called economic experts have been stating over the past 2 years? What were the original growth estimates for 2011 and 2012?
Quality squirming renoman by making out that we are talking about a different timescale. You know perfectly well I was referring to the period since the current government have been in power.0 -
Sad little man that shortie is (can you see what I did there). He's nearly been discredited more times than Brit now.RenovationMan wrote: »Except he's lying again because even if you have someone on Ignore, you can see their posts if someone (who isn't on ignore) quotes them. Deary me, what a tangled web we weave when first we start to deceive! :rotfl:
I wonder what Shortround did before the internet, write messages on the back of toilet doors?0 -
And here comes chucky, renomans knight in shining armour to save the day.0
