Atos medical, Lies and twisting what i say.

Options
With out going into all the details i want to warn others.

I got 0 points got my medical report and read it, They used the fact i used a taxi they provided to get there against me, Said i went alone when i never. Stated i use the post office when i never said that (all bills are done dd) not been to the post office in years. They missed important stuff off that would have gained me points and twisted stuff i said so i would not get points. I was rushed throughout the medical.

I have complained with Atos about the way the medical was done. They have my complaint but so far are standing up for there "Doctors" It looks like i am taking this all the way to the top.

I had a meeting today with a welfare worker and he is seeing more and more of this and says i have a good case and should be getting ESA. My appeal is in with them and he says that they have a BIG back log and i would be lucky if it gets done by this side of Xmas!

For this reason, I strongly advise everyone to request that their assessment is recorded. DWP/ATOS provide the equipment for this and the claimant is ahnded a copy on CD before leaving. (Sorry OP, I know that is no help to you, but it might prevent other people from going through the same thing)

If they say they can't sort out a recording in time for the medical, would it be allowable to take your own recorder?

I hope they have one for you.

Had a letter from Atos, They now say that my medical report lacks details, Nothing about the lies they put in there so i am now going to chase that up.

Have you appealed? Even if you have requested details from the assessment, and statement of reasons from DWP, these can often take a while to receive.

Make sure you get your appeal in within the months deadline, medical evidence can always be supplied afterwards

No, you are not allowed to openly record your own 'medical'. You would have to privide a machine that makes 2 copies and that has been calibrated by a professional immediately prior to the appointment. There is nothing illegal in secretly recording, but the assessor will terminate the session if they find out.

All URL="https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3489827"]see thread from 8 months ago[/URL those nice doctors and nurses who although they no longer swear the Hippocratic Oath, do agree to abide by the GMC's 'Duties of a doctor' when practicing in this country. [ seven of the doctors have been under investigation for more than seven months / another five were placed under investigation this year following complaints about their conduct, mostly relating to allegations /concern about the treatment of vulnerable people ].
