  • Just had the very same experience as everyone else on here, been waiting 6 months for two sofas which should have been here in 3 months. Lied to by the staff ignored by the customer services people, informed that delivery would no be 24th May. If this does not happen then we will be asking for a full refund if this doesn't happen then it's legal action.
Sent an email to their online customer people and nothing yet so ignored yet again. Told in the shop today that "it's not our fault" so whose fault is it then mine?

Im also having problems with delivery, only been seven weeks so far, but was told four to five and we have been sat on garden chairs for these weeks, only ordered this one because of the lead time on it. Find store manager and customer service the most un helpful people I have ever dealt with! xx
  • I'm having a different problem with Harveys and they wont give me an email address, and their customer service department is disgusting, basically we took out an insurance policy which we were told would cover us for accidental damage, I slipped and put my knee through the arm and tried to phone them today for a repair, at that point I was told it only applied to upholstery, however, they've got the new terms and conditions and we have the old ones which implies that accidental breakage is covered (they're claiming that only applies to cabinets even though its not mentioned). so went to the customer service to complain about useless policy i'd been sold

they wont let me email through the terms and conditions in case I doctor it, they wont put it through as a complaint as its my word against theirs on what I was told the policy was taken out for, and the chav I spoke to wont put it through as a complaint or speak to a manager because he gets to choose what is a complaint and what is not

does anyone have any ideas what I can do or an email address I can contact them on please :)

    Hi All

Ordered a Toulouse table from Harveys. When it arrived there were lots of horrible gouges in the table top. We complained to Harveys and they sent an 'independent' engineer round to have a look and see if he could repair. This guy coloured the marks in with a flipping felt tip pen!!! He said he sees loads of furniture from the Toulouse range (he said 5 per day) so obviously loads of people not happy with this furniture. The table in the shop looked great, the one delivered sucks.

The 'independent' engineer produced a report for Harveys that said the table was fine, he put in some blurry pictures taken on his mobile and then had the cheek to attach my signature to the bottom saying I was happy with the repair!

I'm obviously not happy with the felt tip pen repair but I am being ignored by Harveys customer service team. What can I do? :(

WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM HARVEYS AND DO NOT LET THE 'INDEPENDENT' REPAIR MAN WITH THE FELT TIP PEN THROUGH YOUR FRONT DOOR!!

PM replied too, sorry for delay

Same here - orded a suite in January, told us there was a three month lead time - and in the words of the great song from Diana Ross - I'm still waiting.

What was more annoying was the pack of lies I was told from the sales person. Never again - and avoid like the plague.

Update - suite arrived last Saturday well past the lead time - unfortunately with a whopping hole in the base cloth of the sofa. To be fair, they sent someone out within a couple of days and that is now remedied.

Still waiting for a small table after three and a half months - despite an apparent lead time of 7 weeks - I have now been informed that we should get it in two weeks time.

I have just had enough of this lot and I have offered to pick up the table myself from their haulage company's warehouse which is not too far from me. Still waiting for a response.

    Never again.

When it comes to furniture you really do get what you pay for this day and age, all these price cuts etc are just a load of tosh.We got a leather 3 and 2 seater 10 years ago for £999 reduced from £1999.Well within in a 18 months it started to peel and tear in places and in the end we started looking for a new set, luckily my wifes boss was selling a 3 and 2 seater that he had paid 6k for the same time we brought our original ones, he let us have them for £1700.They are now 10 years old and still look like.
  • Well they are still as bad as ever - wish I'd read the above before shelling out loads of money. Travelled up from the South for a delivery that was supposed to be complete (£100 in fuel costs). Now spent ages on phone getting no-where as (I hope it's not as bad as everyone says) the 2loose table :) and chairs did not arrive (perhaps it's lost in Sunderland).

Southern store is aggressive and denies that the order actually says agreed to deliver in one shipment. That's why we waited for the furniture. 0844 number just gives you the run around and of course costs you almost 10p.minute now. Don't trust them. They ignore their agreed obligations. All store says is it'll cost you 50% to cancel and when you mention the typed order agreement and they haven't fulfilled their side of the agreement they say 'that's why we have a legal department'. They have no idea what customer service is nor do they care!!!!!
  • After reading so many bad reviews about Harveys I am glad to see I am not alone in the frustration this awful company has caused me.

Having just bought my first home with my partner we decided to invest in some sofas and eventually decided on Harveys choosing the Deco in a lovely light grey from the swatches on offer.

After 3 months of waiting we collected the sofas and arrived home (they were all wrapped up!)to find we had brown sofas!! After rushing to the showroom I was told that what I had was african grey - well I'm sorry but grey is not brown!! After being fobbed off by the poor quality showroom staff about the colour, I contacted a couple of other branches who told me this 'african grey' was actually a chocolate colour not grey, especially not the light grey we had been shown and ordered at the time.

I have contacted their customer services as its misrepresentation of goods - selling a grey sofa (grey stated all over my paper work, no sign of ''african grey'') which is in fact brown.

So angry at having spent over £1000 on sofas which arent even the right colour. Will never ever use these awful people again. Also suggest people check their website for this grey deco sofa - can all clearly see its grey. And the staff had the cheek to say that the internet doesnt depict an accurate indication - grey is grey and brown is brown.

I certainly hope they respond to my contact soon to sort something out.
  • Did you ever get a grey sofa? I hope so!
