Daily thread Tues 6th March

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Tue 6th march. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning everyone
Does'nt sound nice outside very wet and windy
I got up with ear ache not nice I am supposed to be meeting friends for coffee this morning not sure if I'm going to go now
had a row with the boy's school yesterday they phoned me and said they were sending ds2 home because he had the wrong colour socks on now I know some schools are hot on uniform but is'nt that taking it a bit far
after much tooing and frooing I took another pair of socks for him to change
what next the colour of their underpants I mean does the colour of socks affect how much they learn
not going to plan too many jobs just going to go with the flow but the bm will go on
have a lovely day
((((((((hugs))))))))))) to all

Morning folks
Still felt a bit ropey yesterday but made it through the day
Thanks everyone for their kind wishes.
Another day at work again. Yesterday I joined a new team and we have to have designated breaks. My morning break has been changed from 10:15 until 11:30 - that's nearly lunchtime in my book. Needless to say I was not chuffed
Tonight I have some washing to put away and possibly another load to do. Will also squeeze in a quick tidy up, dust and hoover.
Have a great day0 -
Morning Guys!
Wet and windy here too...caravan weather:D....Im feeling lousy as this damp causes pain to my bones and joints:rolleyes: ...glad I dont have to go out.
Have just put the kettle on for a brew. WM on and will be put on the airer, DW needs emptying and toilet cleaned. I descaled it last night with some strong stuff and the limescale has fallen away.
I MUST do my timed essay today and have been allowed an extra 15 mins with a rest break...I really dont feel well enough to do it, but I have too!
Lady from new cleaning compnay is coming at 1.30pm to talk over what I want and to give me a price, and we can take it from there. The manager of the other company emailed me last night and offered 4 weeks agency fees back (£60), I stated this wasnt enough and explained that the cleaner had called today and offered her services off the books and that I still stood with me calling his firm unprofessional:D
I have to go though, as DD has just come down and I need my cuppa;)
HUgs to all.
Moggins...I am so proud of you! Go girlfriend!

Good morning everyone,
Weather was horrible here overnight, but is ok now - mind you, my bins have been dancing around the garden, so i need to go out and rescue them in a bit!
Feeling a bit better today, but still not brilliant, so will try and take it easy again. Have one LO who is at nursery this morning, and the 2 older ones (last week with them here) will be ok doing some painting while i potter about - havnt checked the flylady list yet, but have a feeling it might be the kitchen, and mine really needs doing.
Hope all the poorly people are feeling better, ((HUGS)) if not xx
Have a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all! Very wet here, and windy, too. When DD came back from guides yesterday, she was nearly blown away! She enjoyed her *Fairy Party* and gher buns went down well. Roz, she's nearly 14 and taller than me, so I'm sure if you want a Fairy Party, you can have.
I've been watching the first series of *Life on Mars* on video - why didn't I watch it first time roundit's brilliant. Shez, I think it was you who mentioned the 1970's clock screensaver. I've got that, which prompted a discussion with DS about my childhood. He's horrified that there was time during the day when you couldn't watch TV  :rotfl:  :rotfl:  Little does he know

Hi all
Well off to take my DD's to nursery this morning - let's hope I have no one bump into me on the way home, like yesterday LOL.
Cleaning to do this morning (boring). I keep designing routines to do it, not following it and then designing a new routine! Must get down to it today.
Husband home later this afternoon and he can then inspect the damage to the car and take over (thank goodness).;)
Family meal of chips, peas and omelette tonight. We have some serious cutting back to do as we are spending way too much. I have another carefully contructed plan to discuss with OH tonight (why am I so good at plans but not action!).
Have a great day everyone

morning all,
I think someone up there must have heard me at 5.00 this morning asking for it to stop raining in time to take the dog out, so the monsoon has finally stoppped here.
Going to Lidl today as someone said it is 70% off fruit and veg, and also they have new gardening stuff.
Have a good day all,You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning
Horrible weather here too. I'm so tired. I went kick boxing last night and I really went for it. Just think of all the good it's doing me though:T Got a public meeting to cover this evening - more overtime:j
Also seeing a money man about a mortgage, so hopefully I'll soon be able to put in an offer on somewhere - it's so exciting.
Not sure how I get through today with the constant yawning, but I'll manage somehow
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
