Unfortunately, the answer to both questions is no (unless - in the first case - you get lucky on ebay).
    Thanks. Have tried ebay...

Seems amazing that nobody has made something else to do the same job. My old autodialler actually has a power socket but it wasn't a version with external power and didn't come with a transformer. Maybe they were just thinking ahead? I should open it up and see if the socket is actually wired up inside. In case it was, do you know what the DC in voltage is and what the polarity is for the V4?

    Thanks.

The transformer which came with mine is 200mA and 12v with centre positive.

I've got 2 V4's (ones powered and ones not) i don't use any more, reason being when orchid stopped doing there on line management program i stopped using them, as i could not get my head around the Excel spreadsheet to program them, they've been sitting around for a while so i was going to put them on ebay.

Does anyone know the code (4 digits) to add another DECT phone to the DT868?

Assuming DT868 is a DECT telephone, it's whatever the 4-digit code is for the DECT base station.

If you haven't changed it, it's most likely to be 0000, 1234, 6789 or 7890.

    Thanks for your reply Heinz.

This phone is the Orchid Gotalk DT868. Similar to the Ranger 400. I have a 400 manual and it says enter 1111, which I have done. I have also used the ones you suggested. There is no number on the base unit.

I was just wondering if you'd had any dealings / usage of this phone or know of someone that does.

    Cheers

  • Just been reading last week's MSE tips email, and noticed that (1) BT are putting up their prices (again!) and (2) you can fix your line rental using BT's Line Rental Saver. I've been using Primus Saver for calls with my Orchid for years, with BT as my line provider.

So I've been thinking and doing some research on the BT website, without any luck. Can I fix my line rental using BT Line Rental Saver, or can I only do that if I rejoin BT for my calls? I don't do many daytime calls anyway, using my mobile for all but 0870 and 0844 numbers, so I'm not sure if the change would affect me anyway...

Is there any way of doing a Factory Reset on the base station? This may return the code to 1111.
