Very sorry that you had to put your dog to sleep too, must have been very hard. xxx
I listened to him on Heart radio yesterday, he was really sweet and called a lady who was rather happy about that! I went straight onto Amazon and ordered his christmas album so good marketing Mr Buble.
(too tight to get the deluxe one though. :rotfl:)
The deluxe one was cheaper on Amazon! £10.00 as opposed to £14.99 for the previous version.0 -
oooh forgot to tell you my arthur christmas i pre ordered from amazon came this morning and i saved £3 tooEverything is always better after a cup of tea0

Lost my christmas mojo at the moment. Have had my youngest off school the last two days with infection in both ears and her throat
that followed a weekend of high temps and sickness from her. On the positive side being housebound for 2 days its looking really clean and tidy here!
Have just booked tickets for nativity 2 on Sunday, we all loved nativity (I'm a KS1 teacher so it strikes a chord)
Christmas plans are on hold again next week as we're having work done - having a bed built above the stair well in the box room (room is about 2in too small for a bed, so finally Ds1 will have his own bedroom! The swapping DD and DS2 rooms over, all go in our house next week!!
After that, it'll be December and all systems go!!Slightly worn out mum to 3 (DS1 May 03, DS2 Feb 05, DD1 Feb 08). When i grow up i think i'll become a UN Peace keeper....0 -
This week is nearly halfway over already, then we have a weekend, then after that two days and our mini holiday starts - stuff planned Wednesday and Thursday and then on Thursday night we're off to London to see Santa at Harrods!! The whole weekend oh my DAYS I am so excited.
Trying to dredge up something positive after four days of festering in my jammies feeling like I've been chewed up by a rhinoceros and spat back out.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
ReformedShopaholic-Yay at the sewing machine!! I bought a mini one years ago and its still in the box.The deluxe one was cheaper on Amazon! £10.00 as opposed to £14.99 for the previous version.
Melon78-Your poor DD, throat and ear infections are horrid let alone both! Hope she feels much better soon! Enjoy Nativity, I have to wait until OH gets paid again. *grumble*
Snugglebunny8-Completely forgot to say this the other day! Such a shame your family members cant make it to you before christmas. Could you go to them or post the gifts? I hate doing presents after christmas too as its not the same really but I know little ones love getting a late present! I understand how it feels when it seems other people dont make as much effort as you, Im not talking about lavish things just a bit of effort! Ive made a gift basket before and we didnt recieve a thankyou or even a card. Even a text to say Merry Christmas would be nice, not expecting presents! Its that you dont feel thought of and its not nice, more so when it feels like my DS is never thought of when I always think of their children. Must admit I dont bother with certain people now as its obvious we're not important at all! Sorry bit of a rant lol. x'They only had one cow!'0 -
Well, I went to Lidl today - have never been before, am now the proud owner of a Xmas doormat, 4 rolls of cellophane ( it really does look just like normal wrap, had to ask for help), Xmas window stickers (for the elf to decorate kids windows one night), lots of chocs and biscuits. Thank you everyone for your suggestions as I would have never known they stock all this. Lidl is nearish to my work, but not somewhere I ever go past.0

I have finally got all the bits to make up my pots of Christmas, but I am HOPELESS with thinking up a rhyme/poem to write on the tag. This is all I've come up with, but I'm not totally happy with it...
"I made this pot of Christmas cheer especially for you
Enjoy the chocs and I wish you luck for a festive win this year"
If anyone can think of something else, I'd be very grateful. It's just not my area of expertise!
Erm, maybe something like,
'I made this little pot for you
it's filled with Christmas cheer
to bring you sweetness and
a bit of festive luck this year'
You'll probably get better later :rotfl:0 -

Hi
I'm not sure if this thread is the right place but as its for a Christmas party I'll share it here.
I'm off to a Karate party which is fancy dress. It's me that does Karate at 34 I'm training for my first belt!
My daughter wants to go as Princess Leia, so I've got her costume but was struggling to think about how to do her hair. I couldn't find small doughnut hair bun things for her so I've made my own.
I've got the odd sock bag out at cut the top off the sock simply roll it down folding it over as you go and it works perfectly as a bun doughnut! Very impressed with the result. She has two perfect little buns for the party. Might help someone else who has smaller children as the bun rings can be so big.
Loving all the ideas on this thread, keep them coming. Xxxx:j0
