Only 10 days till our elves appear so excited!!
What are our elves names and how will they be appearing?
Ours is Rudy (he is a reindeer really but is dressed like elf, he'll do for a fiver!) I have all the things ready for the hamper although I don't actually have a hamper yet must get!
Christmas bedding
Advent calander
Big wooden Santa key
Letter from Santa
Wintery book
Stocking
Polar express (it's not new but DS hasn't seen it and loves films)
And some chocolate coins
He will have arrived on dec 1st when DS wakes up, think ill leave the box in his room for when he gets out of bed
Can't wait!!
Decs up too dec 1st0 -
Own My Own-Im with you on the bloody google! I always frighten the life out of myself googling symptoms.
On the way back from holiday at the beginning of June I was sat in the back of the car and DS was getting in. My hand was in mid-air trying to stop him lunging in lol and at full pelt he sat/jumped onto my hand (by accident!) and it bent right backwards. I fainted because the pain was so sickening.
I still cant put a lot of weight on it, get pins and needles and it aches a lot but I kept putting off going to the Drs and feel so stupid going there and saying I hurt it nearly SIX months ago.
Nanamia-I do like the idea of an heirloom actually.
Sending prayers to your DSIL and all of you. I hope she is having sweet christmas dreams that will pull her through. xxxx
SugarSpun-Hope you all feel better soon! I have fluey/chest infection type symptoms, would rather be ill now than at christmas though. One year I had awful flu and couldnt even stand on christmas day, not this year please.
Welcome to all newbies.
LittleMissCoupon-Have you seen the xmas pudding bin bags in Poundland? Most people have found them in the normal bin bag section and they do Father Christmas ones too.
Moneysavingwebby-Our elf is called Nutcracker. We dont do all the naughty elf things though as DS was very sceptical and asked too many questions so he just goes everywhere with DS lol!

Does anyone have any experience with polly pockets? dd is 5, she loves lego & moshi monsters so when she asked for polly pockets (similar teeny weeny type toys) i leaped at the chance to get her something girly, as she doesnt really do dolls etc. Are they for much younger children? would hate to think ive wasted money on something she will only play with once or twice? im seriously considering ebaying the 2 sets & getting her more lego :-(0

Found a few things yesterday, Isme had the barbie Squinky castle on half price (£12.50), a cars fleece reduced to £6 and a willow tree figure half price at £9.

-Freebie in a catalogue thats really nice-Just had winter boden little catalogue booklet thing pop through letter box.has a page of pop out brown tags that look like theyve been stamped(with no reference to boden on) so ive kept those, cant afford owt from the book itself..lol.
Go to Centerparcs Winter Wonderland next week mon to friday so have a very excited 5 year old..even happier that school have granted authorised absence. We are off on a budget but still hoping to have a magical time..

Very pleased with my bargain shopping for Christmas so far..managed to get another little something for my brother and sis in law v cheaply but looks more..always a bonus..livingsocial are doing Q hotel spa days for £9 for 2 people valid up until 31st March..you have to print the voucher off yourself but ive bought these before and well worth the money..get to use pool, steam room, jacuzzi etc for the day and with refreshments.
Just ds1 and ds2 to buy for now..18 and 14..ugh...non believers but still want the gifts.cash, vouchers and smellies are all i can think off..harder that they are older..even harder with lads too i think..5 year old dd has been a doddle..just wants the dog that poos game..nice.
Looking forward to evenings this weeks, have several friends abroad that write a yearly catch up letter to go inside christmas card and going to do that with a nice hot chocolate and mince pie i think..been a very hard year with losing my mum but dont want the letter to read woe is me so happy thoughts and some xmas film on the dvd should help there :-) x0
