Anyway boss has been on phone iwth me telling m eto take as much time off work as i need, so I think this week wil be full on Christmas preparations!
Sorry to hear your news!!

just been on the phone to a friend who i havent seen for a while, but her dd is same age as my youngest. we were discussing xmas pressies & i mentioned id got dd a couple of polly pocket sets as shes asked for them for ages. my friend told me id wasted my money, her dd had them last year and even then she was too old for them & never played with them. Does anyone have any experience with polly pockets? dd is 5, she loves lego & moshi monsters so when she asked for polly pockets (similar teeny weeny type toys) i leaped at the chance to get her something girly, as she doesnt really do dolls etc. Are they for much younger children? would hate to think ive wasted money on something she will only play with once or twice? im seriously considering ebaying the 2 sets & getting her more lego :-(It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0

My daughters both loved Polly Pockets. I passed them to my nieces when they eventually outgrew them and they still play with them now. My nieces are 9, 8 and 6 years old.2015 £2 Saver #82

I wouldn't worry, both of my nieces lived Polly Pocket. My sister liked the fact that when they went to visit anyone the toys weren't too bulky, and my nieces could carry them in they own bag.0 -

thankyou, im probably being silly but i hate wasting money, and these sets were quite pricey even at the offer prices i paid for them! she will hopefully just add them into her lego play, as she does with the moshlings! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

thanks omo, one of sets has a carry case thingy which im pretty sure will definatly get plenty of use...even if not for the polly pockets! my friend did say she had got her dd an xbox for xmas, so maybe she is just one of those old-before-their-time kids! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
My daughter will be 5 in February and loves Polly Pocket. She's very into little figures, sylvanian families, mini lalaloopsy, Lego etc (rather than Abu dolls/barbie). They're great for taking out & about too, little make up bag f them tucked in your handbag and you're sorted. To be honest, they've got such tiny pieces that you wouldn't really want to give then to a younger child.Slightly worn out mum to 3 (DS1 May 03, DS2 Feb 05, DD1 Feb 08). When i grow up i think i'll become a UN Peace keeper....0

One of my friends was like that with her son. He had everything about 5 years before he should have. Everything got ruined, and she had a nightmare when he got to about 10 as he already had every toy for that age group.
He never really played with anything properly because all his toys were all too old for him.0 -
I know this will have been asked lots before but how do I upload a picture? X0
