Hi everyone, a quick question for all those making chocolate candy cane sleighs. Which chocolate are you using to go on them? I'm having trouble deciding and really want to get started. Thankyou :)

 That is my worse fear. That people will look at my gifts and think of overpriced and poundland

I have just made my poop gifts (That doesn't sound good does it ):rotfl:

    Anyway here goes

For some reason, I really struggle with kids gifts. They never look like I think they should.

I am not sure if I am going to put them on FB or just take them to the 2 PARTIES I HAVE HAD BOOKED :j:j:j

please dont worry, your makes look absoloutly fab!!! I would happily pay for nice homemade gifts, but as an example, one stall was selling the xmas mugs with small soft toys ive seen in our local £land for £2.50!! And another was selling a sandwich bag with a dozen or so blackjacks & fruitsalads for £1 !!! there was no thought gone into any of it, just a few stalls knocking out whatever they could get there hands on for at least double the price! not one homemade gift in sight, i couldnt even find any baubles, it was sooo dissapointing! maybe next year you should set up a stall in my town, your gifts would fly out, cos i wasnt the only one complaining about the lack of "christmas" themed gifts!! :rudolf:

I am going to have a go at making the sleighs. I have gone for a red and yellow/gold theme. I have bought Kit-Kats for the base and then ordinary and caramel rocky bars and club biscuits and mini twix and some gold coins to put on top with a mini santa to drive it. I will let you know how it turns out.

Mine are for boys so I can't go too girly and pink.
  • Hi everyone and thanks for all the kind words it is so very much appreciated and love and hugs to all those who have been through somethng similar.

  • I don't know whether these have been mentioned already-I don't have time to keep up with all the posts-but candy cane reindeers sold very well at a craft stall I was helping with.

Thanks for the choc tip :T

Ds and dd ate a box today. I have just grabbed the tray out of the recycling bin.:rotfl:

I was worried about making a few kids gifts, as they are sooo different from anything else I make.

One of the parties I have booked, is at my cousins house; and I know she will find the poop gifts hilarious. So I have made one of each to take with me. Here's hoping.:)
