Hi guys I know chocolate slabs etc have been talked about loads but I can't seem to find it now!! I wanted to make some with my little brother in dec as gifts for his teachers && family as he's only 3 I think this is a good idea && mum agrees! What I wanted to know is do you just melt 3/4 of the chocolate then add the other 1/4 to the melted chocolate to melt? Then put it into molds? && how long do you leave it till you add things to the top?
Thanks in Advance
Here is the post I made about my chocolate slabs. I used 200g of choc but 150g would actually be better, as the slab was quite thick.
In the bread loaf you can use 100g.

Is there christmas issue out yet?Well I have spent the morning making Gingerbread with the girls. Just need to make them look more Christmassy now :-)
They should be nice to eat later while we watch the polar express. I hope it's as good as everyone says. What age range do you think it's suitable for?
Could I ask if you are making these for christmas gifts, and how long they would last and keep fresh, wanting to make them for christmas presents but unsure how long they will stay fresh for!?Moneysavingwebby wrote: »Christmas kitchen on food network need all the Christmas cooking help I can get, first year cooking dinner!!
Has food network started showing christmas cooking yet, I keep a look out but found nothing for christmas specials etc...0 -
Hi, I use an ebay seller link here you just select which size you want. You "buy" the item and then just email the photo to him and he will let you know if it is not good enough quality or not. I have had a few pictures done and they have all been great and the corners are very neat. Good communication too.
I dont have anything to do with them, just a satisfied customer.

Will have a look at them, thanks a lot0 -

Another one here thats tried and tested the truffles. This is something me & the OH do every year. This year however - im trying my hand at mince-pies and OH grandad would like a christmas sponge with theme styled icing! :O This is a huge deal for me as im no baker or even a great cook.
Anyone got any fool proof reps or idea's how this can be achieved mse style for a idiot? lol x
Sainsburys have quite a few ready made cake toppers (other supermarkets might also have some but have onl looked here). They've got Santas, trees etc. If you could manage to make & ice a sponge, you could add some of these, or buy an iced sponge & bung a few on top0 -

Own My Own I think your Elizabeth Shaw decorations are lovely! They're not too plain at all, and sometimes simple is more effective. I really like them.0

I have just had a picture done on canvas for my sisters birthday from Bonusprint. There was an offer on at the time and the quality was excellent. We just sent them the picture and the canvas came back quickly. My sister was thrilled with it. I would recommended them and will use them again.
Thank you very much, will also look at them0 -
Forgot to tell you all yesterday, that after a family con-flab, we have decided
NOT TO HAVE A CHRISTMAS TREE this year.
I have lots of ornamental Christmas trees, which I normally dot round the house. This year I am going to put them all on the unit in the lounge, and make a forest. I also have a number of reindeer that I am going to put in the forest.
I have a selection of light up trees, mirror trees, painted wooden trees and candle trees.
It looks great in my head, I just hope it looks as good when it is up, as I can't go back now ds has voted.0
