  • Realised this morning that we have not heard for Pips Mum recently, wasn't it her that wanted to go to the Twilight film whatever?

To the boss who was complaining about lights, yesterday was Diwali, wonder if that's waht the lights were for?

Glad you are feeling better Linky :) I think it was probably excitement ! I love your minty decorations definitely less is more. You are on a roll tonight with the owl links - truly living up to you name:)
Princesskitty thank you so much for your kind words. It really does make a difference:) I love this thread and the people it has attracted. Thank you Gleek for starting it off. It really is full of Christmas spirit and love:)
Louise what a lovely thing for a teenager to say. You are obviously doing a fantastic job:) Just popped on to read your other pages. Wow you are a busy lady:)
SandC what a ridiculous thing to say. Bah humbug. Don't let that put you off. I can see that many of our lovelies have already reassured you that you don't need to have children to enjoy Christmas! My babies are 29 and 25 but I will still be tracking Santa on Christmas Eve :)
Misspiggy your truffles sound yummy. I saw a recipe last year for truffles using condensed milk but can't remember where ( I hadn't met Linky then - so had nobody looking after me!)
Moneysavingmumofone I'm not going to make you emotional tonight but please don't put yourself down. You are always contributing brill ideas:) xxx
AAAB we've missed you. Is your hubby still home with you? Your house sounds lovely and you sound as if you've got everything organised. Well done you - if you feel like popping to mine I could do with a few of your skills:)
Night night Linky hope you get more sleep tonight xxx

thank you, it's been a long time coming we had our house rented out and it was wrecked by tenants so in the end we came back to live here, hubby then had a 6 month deployment in between so that delayed it so we have spent last 4 weeks of his leave putting the house back together and getting it sorted. he goes away for 4 weeks tommorow but not to Afghanistan, just a training exercise he is instructing. Back just before the Christmas activities kick in. At least I can wrap the presents, play christmas music, watch christmas films and goo over beautiful christmas decorations without him committing me to the nut house ha ha.

hubby got to bed at 2am this morning after sewing but on the side of my bed was the elf in the shelf put back in her box who is now wearing a beautiful homemade white skirt with snowflakes on. he also attached a little gold bell to the waist of the skirt, you would never know he was a soldier lol, he is going to make the rest today once it's finished will post a picture, need to figure out how to do it first. I have always been super organised over things, Always got lists, use them for bills, food everything x it's lovely to be back missed you all too xxxx

For anyone making chocolate slabs or stirrers etc, Morrisons have some snowflakes (the hard crinchy ones) and little gree xmas trees with red tiny balls (again the crunchy one) in tubes for 75p each. They are about the same size as the little white chocolate stars. here's a link to see the snowflakes.

    Morning all!

OMO the tree chocs look fab as they are.

Louise - I've bookmarked your blog, looks inspiring.

Heading into town at lunchtime to buy some stocking fillers from B00ts (using Ad points) for Hubby's stocking and to raid the poundshop!

Hi all - anyone have a gingerbread man recipe they are willing to share?

My sis wants to come visit and make ginger bread men. I have found a delia recipe online but not quite sure. http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/type-of-dish/sweet/gingerbread-men.html or this one http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/9761/gingerbread+men

also what size cookie cutter do you normally get?
  • *louise* your blog is fab! :) Would you be willing to share the print out for the snowman choc? The reason I ask is that I bought my mum a small bar of Fruit & Nut for her gift bag (she can't eat much chocolate) and thought it would look lovely wrapped in this!

Thanks very much for the recipe link Own my Own, I am so excited to peruse it as cooking and baking is my favourite hobby! Thanks for taking the time to pick out ones that would make good gifts. I noticed the other day that Good Food do a book called '101 Delicious Gifts' which is a book of foodie treats to make! It was only £3 so I might treat myself in due course. :D

Speaking of people we haven't heard from in a while, I don't remember seeing anything from Opee for a long time?
