Can't remember who was looking for gifts at BHS but they currently have up to 30% off and an extra 10% with code - COUNTDOWN10 - so may make it a bit more affordable!
I don't have any children and I still LOVE Christmas - OH and I have a Lego advent calendar to share and a chocolate one each - 17 days until we can open them :j
Better add another bonkers Christmas nut to the list :santa2:0 -

Oh my, that is so cool. All we ever get to switch on our local towns' lights are peppa pig and bob the builder type characters. Think our switch ons are a week after Coventry.
Mrs Cullen - Lincoln market is fabulous but so busy. if you can try to visit on the Friday (preferably day rather than eve) as Saturday and Sunday you just can't move, you just follow the crowds and hope they stop you at a stall you want to look at. I went to uni in Lincoln so took Hubby round all my old haunts etc. last year.0 -

How great! That is one of my fav Christmas songs along with Slade and The Pogues/Kirsty MacColl!
Does anyone know when the Lidl offer on Cellophane finishes? Or is it a case of when the stock runs out? I'm hoping to get some but don't normally shop there so not sure how the offer works!~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -
This is lovely! just shown my dd4 (shes 3) and when she saw her name she said 'Thats me!' lol
Write a letter to santa and send online.. Disney will donate a soft toy to a variety of local children’s charities (up to 10,000 toys) with each letter they get. You also get to see your childrens name on the nice list

I can't keep up with how fast this thread moves! Loving all the Christmas spirit and excitement
I ordered the last of my presents today, finally figured out what to get my brother. I still have work secret santas to do but can't do those until I know who I'm buying for!
I haven't seen anyone with Christmas lights or trees yet. Don't usually start seeing any until December! Will keep an eye out though...0 -
Grrr at Christmas (said in jest - don't panic!). I have just been into Tescos to get me some of their luxury dried mixed fruit for my breakfast (I have it on top of cereal), and they'd all sold out cause of everyone buying it to make bloomin mince pies (again said in jest!) The Tescos luxury stuff isn't dry dry, it's kinda gooey - like it's been soaked in summink and I've only ever seen it in Tescos. Grrr! (So to make myself feel better I've come away with dried pineapple and dried mango - lol well if I can't have my usual I can be a bit more exotic than raisins and sultanas!!)0

thankyou all for the gardening hamper ideas, going on a mini spree (hopefully) tomorrow so can check out lidl, hb & £land. Having a feel-sorry-for-myself evening, sat in my pjs, under my snowflake throw, this cold is really starting to out stay its welcome now, i just feel so tired & i ache all over! Chocolate slabs turned out really well, very pleased, so they are all now wrapped in foil, in a tin & out of reach!
my youngest dd came home today singing christmas songs, theyve finally started practicing at school...just hope when they hand out the parts she gets to be the angel she's convinced she will be!!It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Just a quick update - I made some truffles with white choc and baileys yesterday and not sure if the white choc didnt set as well as the dark or if I put too much baileys in but it was very very soft - I added some icing sugar and mixed and then it was fine - tastes really good to so don't worry if it doesn't set hard enough it can be salvaged!!May GC 433.32/ 350  Apr GC 263.43 /300
Mar GC 346.43 /350 Feb GC 248.01/300
