I went to my mums yesterday and ended up doing my brothers Xmas list with him because he wouldn't tell mum or dad what he wanted it was a bad mistake he ended up wanting everything he saw so now my mum has to go through it and get rid of the stuff he won't play with etc haha!! I'm planning on doing lots of xmasy things with him in the run up to Xmas from beginning of dec up to now I have salt dough decorations and chocolate slabs so he can give them as gifts (he's only 3) then we will prob do some cards && pictures but not really sure what else as he dosnt break up from school till around the 20th so it will be either a sat or Sunday till he breaks up! Then on Xmas eve I've got him a Xmas DVD && book a Xmas colouring book and new pencils and pjs so we are going to do that on Xmas eve!! Any other ideas on what we can do?? ( it's just to keep him out of mum & stepdads hair for a day a week so yet can do what they need to)0

Hope someone can help me, does anyone know where you can buy a small bath? I'm sure a photo of one was posted a long time ago, someone had taken a photo of it in the shop-and for the life of me I can't find it. It might have been B&M but my nearest one is 30 mins drive so I want to be sure! It was to put bath bombs etc in I think. A lady was selling one on Facebook, I turned up this morning to pick it up but she'd lost it
Any help would be much appreciated!
xx
Do you mean the ones in Wilkinsons?

firstly is everyones page really badly stretched? I cant even read a full sentence
Anyway - I should of said at the weekend I pretty much finished all the christmas gifts I need to buy. just need the actual hampers now which I will get this weekend and start wrapping a few things up. I feel lost today because i usually take a quick walk around the shops at lunchtime and found myself with nothing to do so much so I went to card factory and got the teddy for £1.99 which my work mate had saw me with and loved so now it looks like Im doing others shopping too lol.
I'm thinking now I might tackle the decorations side of things and decide how the house should look especially as this will be my first christmas at home without going to parents for dinner.
Just worried being too organised means Ive little or nothing to do now and the build up to christmas has gone too early :rotfl: Ive warned OH that I might end up buying more stocking fillers :rotfl:Life is what you make it.0 -

I haven't posted for a while... it is my ds2's birthday on Friday so should be getting ready for that but can't get my hea round that either. He had his main present early so that he could use it during the summer holidays but need to get a couple of small things for him to open. also need to make his cake and card and have a very busy week so am a bit argggg at the moment
sorry to hear about all those who have been upset by people's coments and attitudes. I had an incident today when I was driving. I pulled out of our road and overtook the parked cars just as someone came rund the corner the other way. He drove right up`to me and just sat there with his arms folded as if to say "I am going nowhere". I know it was his right of way but he didn't have to be so arrogant.
thanks for the reminder about the polar express, I have recorded it. This was the first film we too our ds' to see at the cinema (they were 4 and 6) and they spent the whole time crying cos it was too noisy and saying they wanted to go home:eek: we have watched it since and they loved it.
Ds had his party yesterday and was given a chocolate slab with smarties. It is lovely but is it wrong that i thought " I could make that for much less money"
I made some mincemeat muffins last week. they were nice but didn't taste too much of mincemeat. I will try them again and put more mincemeat in.saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Hi All,
Really enjoying keeping up with all of your newsYou all have such great ideas and I loved reading caitlyn22's post about your family traditions growing up - I don't really remember the gifts I received growing up but the traditions never fade! My OH and I are hosting this year and it's going to be a right old mashup of both our families' traditions, can't wait! :j
I'm planning on making a cocktail hamper for OH as we found a great old walnut drinks cabinet at an auction over the summer for a couple of pounds (!) and we're slowly filling it up with goodies. Does anyone have any ideas for things I could put in it? We already have a book and a shaker so I'm thinking mixers, ingredients etc. but wondered if anyone else was doing something similar or had seen anything out and about?
Thanks all x0 -

Actually, I am pretty sure you had right of way. When you pull out around the cars [so long as there isn't someone coming the other way at that moment - ie, it is safe to go] you then have right of way because you are "commited" and drivers coming the other way should let you pass or reach a point where you can pull back in. At least, that is what my instructor used to say in my lessons.
Don't let people grind you down - there are too many grumpy and unpleasant people out there.
Had a great weekend, although it has left me rather skint and a little unwell lol. I went out with some friends on Saturday and hit a few clubs - I've not been clubbing for months, so it was great to dance and drink and just have a laugh. I got in at four, which, whilst not as late as it would have been in the past, definitely made me sleepy on Sunday lol. Last night, we went out to celebrate a friend's birthday and headed to a great place called The Ski Club at Spinningfields in Manchester afterwards. It is in a great spot, if anyone is around here, overlooking the ice rink [that they are constructing now but isn't open yet]. Inside, there are loads of leather chairs and [fake, I hope] furs; heck, there is even a huge furry bed [about the size of 3 king size beds], so we had that last night, making for a very relaxed few drinks. They do loads of different hot chocolates and variations on mulled wine. I had a lush hot chocolate in the end, with a chocolate liquor. Devine. I suspect the place will be very busy a little closer to Christmas, so it was nice to go last night when we almost had the place to ourselves. If any of you are nearby, I'd definitely check it out.
I'm glad the coin idea has worked for some other people. I think they look quite good and it is something a bit different - gift wrap you can eat lol.
I've noticed that the ads have suddenly become incredibly Christmassy! I don't watch a lot of TV but my family had I'm A Celeb on when I got in last night, so I noticed during that. The John Lewis one is so sweet! They have even managed to top last year's I think lol. :T0
