    Xmas Saver!
Thanks :o. Loving all your stuff, where are you selling it?

I have a FB page, which I started today. I have 10 friends so far.
And am going to put all my gifts in our school staff room at the beginning of Dec.

I am just trying to get people to look at it at the moment.

One of the school PTA members said she may be able to get me a table at the school Christmas Bazaar, but it is pretty full. Fingers crossed.

Been to lidl this morning, picked up 20 bars of chocolate, no restrictions, but the old lady behind was tutting at me & said rather loudly to her friend that it was no wonder children these days were so overweight, well i saw red, I told her very firmly that the chocolate was for me to make a selection of christmas gifts, homemade with love! I also asked if she thought my children looked overweight, she blushed & said no not at all, I then told her that my children were polite, well mannered unlike her, and maybe she should eat chocolate occassionally to sweeten her up GRRR! I know I probably made a bit of an idiot of myself but the cheek of some people makes me so angry. The cashier said I had made her week!

    Well said!! :T:T:T:T:T

    Congratulations Noodles!

Those makes are great OMO - You're inspiring me to go more homemade this year! I have done some bits the last couple of years, but worry the family might get bored so haven't done any so far this year. Now I'm going to try some new things because whether they appreciate them or not, I enjoy making them! Hope you're able to get yourself that table to sell them! :)

Pinknfluffy - you made me laugh! Some people have far too much to say for their own good. Well done for putting her in her place! :D

I haven't done much Christmassy stuff this week, but I am about to do an experiment and attempt to make my own Peanut Butter Cup-type chocolates. I want to gift them to siblings who love them, but need a trial run first.

Oo and thank you lazysheep for the Polar Express reminder, never seen this somehow, but going to record it so OH and I can watch it. I did force him into watching a Christmassy film I'd recorded the other night, The Dog Who Saved Christmas - though I have to admit, it was a bit rubbish!! I need to spend more time finding the good stuff :rotfl:
  • Own my own well done on your makes they look fab.:j

Managed to get some selection boxes from Tesco today. These will be presents from my kids to their mates.

Also the toiletry gifts are still half price until tomorrow. HTH

also i am still writing recipes for a possible food blog - fingers crossed. I notice you have really good labels on your makes. How did you make the labels? - you seem to have some back grounds and then some printed stuff? what font did you use for printing?
    Thanks

  • Hi I'm new and a secret Christmas freak. Love this thread and have got lots of ideas from here. So far I have made a pre Xmas box for both my daughters 1 has an advent calender in and a reindeer onesie. The other has a xmassy fleece with pots of gold and little treats she won't be with us at Xmas so she can open this with her bf when he gets back from abroad. Need a lesson in abreveations.
  • Right here I go!

aliaslotte sorry to hear about the job, there is one out there somewhere. Im currently applying to uni to do my pgce, so will be hopefully looking for teaching jobs in a year or so, must be mad! I also loveeeee your santa wrapping paper, Im going for a 'parcel paper' sort of theme this year!

omo I totally love all of your homemade gifts. I especially love the little choc gingerbread men in an earlier post & I loveeee all the little tags & lables you have put on thigs now. I dont know why but the font on lables is always an xmassy text I use!

autumngirl I too have a wish list for dotcomgiftshop, I wait until theres afew things cos I too find postage a little steep!

popularfurball I love your apron, I like how personalized you have made it, very clever!

chris25 Thanks for reminding me about the lidl pasta, must pop down this week its not far from me. But if theyve this choc on offer, maybe I should walk down tomorrow!

dinky dragon I bought a pack of basic brown parcel tags on ebay & I am personalizing them by using a merry christmas stamp on them & I also have a heart hole punch to make them all pretty!

his missus You defo need to get down to Liverpool One, I go everytime Im back up home visiting my parents. Love the shopping in Liverpool now its brilliant. They just opened a new Harvey Nicks Beauty boutique too, so I need to get there. Me being a typical scouse girl, I love my make up & glitter. Must say NOT my tan though! Pale and proud haha!

pink&fluffy Congratulations on the new job!!oh and defo good on you for putting the woman in the shop right. Cant stand moaners. Had a woman behind me in in M&S a while back complaining that the person infront of us both was taking too long. They where but why would you moan, so I turened around and said if you dont like queing shop elsewhere, so she put her basket down and left! M&S didnt seen to mind in her loss of custom, they gave me a free bottle of wine for 'sorting her out' haaaa!

louise Loveeee your tree decs, very talented. Making some myself, cant see them looking as good as yours!

noodles86 Masssssive congratulations on baby Mali! Gorge name & I bet she is a fab as you say, of course you are totally allowed to be bias! Hope you are doing well too!!

Well popped into Covent Garden in the week to meet friends for tea & I had a look at their lovely lights and their fabulous tree! Luckily on Weds when we where there, they also had a large group of carolers singing. I was lovely to stop and listen for a while :)
Was going to write one last thing but after all that its left my head, hopefully it comes back to me!!
