Yes, thanks everyone for saying how great Polar Express is! I finally watched it and it was ace.
The animation style always creeped me out a bit, but once you get into it it's fine.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -

Thanks for the chilli tag ideas, all fab!
OwnMyOwn-The Lindt bars are only £1 in sainsburys atm!Your crafty stuff looks amazing!! Could I make a teeny suggestion? Looked for you on FB and noticed you have a profile page instead of a business page. You'd get a lot more traffic on a business page I think as people can 'like' you easier and you can do things like hike those likes with other businesses.
Huge congratulations noodles86!Wonderful news! It is funny many family members have birthdays close to or on the same day as someone else! My DS' birthday is the same day as his uncles and my uncles birthday (same day as my friends, valentines day!) is the day before my sisters. My other sisters birthday was the ame day as my best friend at school. I know someone whose two sons were born on the exact same day a year apart and my old friend has the same birthday as her daughter! 365 days of the year and so many birthdays close to each other lol. x
PopPerson-Best of luck with the book!
PinkSteps-I hope you feel better now!Woohoo at all the pink!! My bedroom used to be pink (until we swapped rooms with DS and now still have his old blue lol) and I now have a pink kitchen with pink kettle, toastee and microwave! Was going to have a pinhk bathroom but the nautical theme swayed me. My OH couldnt care less how I decorate and my DS loves pink so yay for pinkness!
msgigglewick-Hope your DD has a fab time tonight!!
KMR1984-I rather liked The Dog who saved christmas haha!
caitlyn22-What a lovely post, thanks for sharing.Hope you stay here posting with us now.
RE The polar express bell, I bought some bells but unsure as to whether Ill actually do the whole so and so cant hear it etc thing. I dont want him thinking either me or OH dont believe as to us its believing in the whole magic of christmas and love and caring a well as Father Christmas. Might rope in one of my brothers or sisters! Also unsure as if it will make DS suspicious as anything 'new' and he tends to be hmmm.
Completely forgot about the half price choc at Lidl, for some reason today I keep swinging between thinking its friday or sunday!! Will have to see if I can get some tomorrow. Got the £10 Baileys at Asda yesterday, it was going fast! Thing is I actually very very rarely drink (even at christmas) probably only have one drink every 2 years or so lol but the potential of a Baileys whilst wrapping presents and watching a xmas film drew me in!! I only have a small splash with a glass full of ice, it will take ages to get through it lol!
pinknfluffy-Well done for standing up to that woman!
Unfortunately I had a run in with somebody yesterday and I wasnt quite so bold at sticking up for myself.A woman basically moaned at me for not saying excuse me when there was at least a metre between us. I said this and she said its not the point is is to which i said I apologise she said ok then curtly still without even turning to look at me, I said Thankyou?! only to go into 99p store and even though I really tried not to burst into tears.
I really struggle with my emotions especially when people are unfair and also suffer with anxiety so a stranger to berate me for doing nothing wrong really upset me. Such a wuss.
Felt a bit better after talking to an old man selling poppies, offered to buy him a cup of tea but he was just about to have his dinner. We had a little laugh about not needing technology as he gave me a new poppy as mine was manky in his words lol and I put it through the toggle on my coat! Still sort of ruined my xmas shopping trip, I just dont know why some people have to 'pick' on others for nothing just to make themselves feel good. Even as an adult I feel picked on, what a baby!!
Sorry not christmassy but I know you are all lovely here. x

moneysavingmumofone you arent a wuss honey! *sends you hugs* Im the same, I get really upset about people being horrible to others and things like that which are unfair and unjust, I know I shouldnt but I cant help it and that would have upset me as well, I struggle not to be too emotional sometimes but its really hard if you are made that way and you mustnt be hard on yourself - it simply means you are a lovely kind person who would never dream of saying or doing something mean or nasty, so it rightly upsets you when others do it xxxx
I saw that WWF advert about adopting a tiger the other day, about the one caught in a trap, I cried for about 10 minutes! I do suffer a little wth anxiety too and worry about stuff - don't feel you are alone, we are always here for a chat if you feel upset xx0 -

Thanks, will go into Sainsburys tomorrow.
Don't know how to change FB to business page. Will have to have a play.
It may not be changeable once it is set up. I did see business when I opened it, but that sounded a little serious .:rotfl:0 -

its so awful how down right nasty some people can be! Then there are the "yous" of the world that offer to help & care for others, what a kind thing offering to buy a nice warm cuppa for poppy man! keep smiling & dont let others bring you down :rudolf:It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
What a lovely post Caitlyn22.
I've got XFactor on just so I can see the coca cola ad (well, and cos DD would be very miffed otherwise!).0 -

ooh cant wait to get that christmas mag. i was looking for some in tescos today but there was nonemy mum and i both buy different xmas mags and pass them onto each other so we usually get to read all of them for half the cost, if that makes sense!
happened to find a toy that i bought ds from argos the other week (which was in the loft, no one has been in there and i cant understand how it has got back down. it was on top of the wardrobe aswell, somewhere i NEVER keep toys, due to prying eyes!) the receipt was safe in my purse so i returned it and re-bought along with 2 others. so i actually got the original one free :T it was £20 so happy with that
also going to pop to argos tomorrow too (payday!) to pick up another 3!
my trip today has left me with 1 gift left to buy DS1 (will get next week) and DS2 is done, so just DD to get! although i havent finished her list yet!
i do still need to complete the boys stockings and all kids xmas eve hampers though too!
but overall, im pleased so far!
i also picked up some glowstick swords and a wand for the xmas eve hampers for £1 each.
and i got a great book for xmas eve. its called 'santa is coming to hull' (hull being where we live!!) one the cover there is some of the hull landmarks (the stadium, the deep aqurium, the guildhall, college, statues and the lighthouse from nearby spurn point etc etc). book mentions areas, streets and parks of hull so i think the kids will ove this. and although it doesnt mention our exact area i reckon i could add it in when reading it to them and theyd be none the wiser! :rotfl::rotfl:
in the book, santa and the reindeer land in a park thats not too far from us, so i though after christmas we could have a day in the park 'trying to find' where they landed!
ie make dh run on ahead with a big stick to make sleigh tracks and some sort of hoof prints :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
it looks like the do adapted versions for allover the country (assuming from the pic of santas coming to cornwall on the back cover and other city/town stories ) and they have a website if anyone would like the name of the site let me know and i will get the book back out.family mean more to me than money it's call a life0
