Got the only Chrstmas tree mould left in Poundland last night, actually supposed to be ice cubes, but hey, can make chocolate trees. Think I will "decorate" them, any suggestions on what I can use? I have small smarties cake decorations, but think they may be just a little bit too big

    What about hundreds and thousands?

Ok i'm going to attempt to post picutes now, sorry if this all goes wrong!! As we're visitng my auntie and family this weekend we have made up a food basket for them all as a Christmas gift to share:

    DSCF4323.jpg

It has Cadbury's chocolate chunk cookies, Haribo Tangfastic sweets, strawberry Angel Delight, Cadbury's chocolate fingers, Nobby's chilli nuts, bbq Sensations, strawberry jam, After Eights, Terry's Chocolate Orange Segmnets, Magners for the adults and orange Tango for the kids!

    Then I wrapped it:

I've never wrapped a hamper with cellophane before so it's not great! I tried to hide the contents with the red tissue paper and the cellophane has gold stars all over it. You can still see in the basket but I didn't mind too much on this occasion as i'll tell them to open it early so they can enjoy it! For my next hampers I will do better!

    I hope these have uploaded!

    It looks wonderful :T

If you want to hide the contents, perhaps next time you could put the tissue paper inside the basket, add the contents, then fold tissue paper over contents, then wrap the hamper with the cello :xmassmile

Thanks for the advice springdreams, yes I think I will do that next time. I wanted to hide the whole thing but I think I will put it in the basket next time. I didn't want to unwrap it and make a mess of it so luckily it's something that i'm going to tell them to open early anyway as it may save them buying some bits for Christmas! x

Whoever was asking about the large bells - you can also get four for £1 from Wilkinsons :) Bright colours too.

there are also pirate chests (I can't remember how much, sorry. About £4ish I think) or little pretty snowflake boxes for £2/3ish which would be great for table gifts and pots of gold :)

  • Hello my fellow mince pies :j

Has anyone else in the North East managed to get the luggage tag type labels that were pictured on here a while ago, from Poundland? Just been on the website and can't find them, the cardboard ones...similar to the ones posted a couple of pages back from The Range. I've been in four Poundlands in the area and there are none! And the nearest Range is about 50 miles away

They've become an obsession because I can't seem to find any!

I've been to the pound land at the arnison centre today & they didn't have any. Maybe they haven't sent any up north :(

Also, pound land had spongebob baubles for whoever was doing a hamper, not sure if it's already been mentioned.
