if you cant find it there im sure i saw some in tesco similar its a white reel with about 4 different colours on it. my one from hobby craft must be about a year old although i dont remember buying it!!

Just came to say they do it in Tesco! I ordered some with my shop then saw someone wanted something similar on here, it's £1.24 for a reel of 4 different coloured ribbons! I'm thinking of using it for snowman soup which I'm doing for my children, my nieces and nephew!

Own My Own - The stuff you have made is amazing. I hope the stuff I'm planning on making looks half as good as then I will be very proud. :)

aliaslotte - Don't worry you'll soon find your perfect job.

We always have turkey for Christmas dinner, but none of us are a fan of the traditional puddings so we're having home made choc sauce and ice cream!

Not sure if anyone has the Avon book delivered. I've had mine this evening and there's a little sale book with it. There's snowflake shaped bath bombs reduced to £0.89 each. Perfect if anyone's doing a beauty hamper I was thinking. :)
    Savings Account - £0.00 :(

    Weight Loss - 33lbs lost 9lbs to go :)

I adore that website! So many gorge little things. Hoping to get some of the toadstool type lights etc for my sister to decorate her flat as its her first Xmas in her own place.
I was thinking of just getting random decs for my mum cos she likes things that are all abit different and one off sort of things.
Also want to get some of the stacking kids lunch boxes for myself!

Oooohhh yes...I was tempted by the toadstool lights myself but had to reign myself in! I could so easily spend silly money every time I look at the Dotcomgiftshop website. Their p&p charge usually puts me off though so I usually keep a wishlist going and wait til either the items I want are on 'Deal of the Week' or I just can't resist any longer....or in this case, both!

I was glad that so many MSErs enjoyed the big Summer Sale when I posted on Grabbit a few months back. Roll on the next one! :D

aliaslotte - sorry to hear that you didn't get the outcome you wanted but the experience really will help next time around x

spacecadet1 - I watched some of that documentary tonight. I found it quite interesting although I felt it didn't really do much to improve the image of either store IMHO. Gotta say though, doing a trolley dash at 7 1/2 mths pregnant seems a tad dodgy, even with floors as dry as the Sahara!
  • Thanks everyone. I guess I was just feeling sorry for myself, as I thought I had nailed this one lol. Everything seemed to go so well and I had a good vibe about the school... I'll have to keep on looking [although I am incredibly tempted to start applying for non-teaching 'proper' jobs as I don't want to be "on hold" - that is how it feels - until Easter, which is possible with the teaching jobs beginning to dry up for January]...

Anyway, I gave in to temptation and wrapped some presents. Yay! I've realised that I have bought far too much lol [lots of great bargains] and I really must stop now. I've wrapped some in the kraft paper but I'm not sure how to 'dress it up' - my current ribbons etc are metalic so don't really go. However, the black paper with silver baubles [from Tesco - £1.47 a roll] is lush and looks fantastic with silver ribbon and the glittery bauble tags. I will add the white chocolate coins [in silver foil] nearer the time, as I don't want them to fall off lol. :)

Re the pound shop programme... The PoundWorld boss was also on Undercover Boss a little while ago. We don't have 99p Shops near here, so I've never been in one of those. I can imagine they go through an awful lot of pennies lol! Out of that style of shop though, Poundland is my "favourite". They seem to have some lovely things, like the owl pendant and the kraft paper tags. Plus, they often have decent books and CDs - I got my father one with some Ronnie Barker radio plays the other day, to listen to in the car when driving for work. £1 for a BBC CD is a bargain. :)

All positive feedback. And a wish of good luck in finding a post. Again.

    I don't know what I keep doing wrong. :(

Really sorry to hear that aliaslotte. They don't deserve you. x

I have asked before but think my Q got lost as this board moves so fast :)

How do you all make the chocolate items without them going all cloudy (you know, when the chocolate seperates) do you use cooking chocolate or normal stuff?

I have a silicon moulds to make little mice but can never get the chocolate looking nice :(
