I just wanted to show you this cute chap I brought in Card Factory yesterday; I thought he'd go nicely with the adopt a reindeer gifts.
He was £1.99, they had penguins and santa too; also some nice Christmas hand puppets.
How cute??? I want one:) No, in fact I NEED one:)Stopped smoking 20th October 2012
This year I will have something that resembles a garden and not a building site!0 -
I posted a while ago with every intention of popping in regularly but work has just been so busy....I have had a quick skim read when I can though, so congratulations to anyone with new additions to their families, and best wishes & hugs to anyone who needs them. My "thanks" button seems to have gone awol, but I will make up for it when it returns!

Can i join in please?
Been reading this thread for a few weeks now, and i love it!
Not as organised as some of u fab people but I'm getting there slowly.
Went in primark (Hanley) yesterday, no boys Xmas pj's but did see the storage boxes that has been mentioned. They look fab and will definately be getting a couple. They also had some lovely traditional Santa wrapping paper think it was 8m for £1.
Also on my to do list is the werthers Toffee vodka as that looks gorgeous and will be a fab present for my friends.
You must be near me then, must go have a nose at those storage boxes, could come in handy

Cost about £1. After purchase of moulds.
Thank you, I have decided to make these with the children I care for as extra pressies for the parents. I may need to borrow some tins as I have 8 mindees and would like to do it all in one hit! I found some bags in poundland today but it would mean I need to break them.0 -

He is so cute! DS would love him!
I went in to John Lewis Home today and they had so many lovely decorations and treats for christmas. Its just a shame its all out of my budget. I'm going in to town at the end of the week though to see what bargains I can find!0 -
Went to Ikea today for the lovely Santa bags a few of you have mentioned and also picked up some kilner type jars for making my flavoured vodkas. (Think I'll try werthers, rhubarb & custard and pear drop flavours.) A few lovely tree decs caught my eye but they seemed expensive so I resisted.....anyone know when Ikea usually reduce their Christmas stuff?
Also had a quick look in Aldi but wasn't that tempted (phew!). Got some stollen (yum!) and also wanted a panettone but they only had really tiny ones or luxury ones in tins for around £10 - nothing inbetween. They had gingerbread houses which were quite sweet, for a fiver, but I reckon you clever bunch could make nicer versions at home. Also noticed 20m rolls of brown parcel paper for £1.99 if that helps anyone.0 -

I am a list maker by nature I think! Although they often end up looking more like Novels Lol. I must remember to mention things more often on here that I pick up for DS's hamper. I keep forgetting there are lots of other people doing elf hampers and I'm always seeing things and picking things up for 50p ish here and there!
I'll just mention why it's on my mind - I can't recommend checking out your local charity shops at this time of year enough! They often have christmas things donated from last year that they bring out.
The other day I managed to get loads of ribbon for 30p and they had an entire table of 'christmas teddies' for £1 each! All of them were in practically new condition and I managed to get DS a fairly large chocolate reindeer that still had it's tags on and it actually smells of chocolate! For £1 I was actually stunned how cheap I got it!
Sorry for your families loss kayandy.
I was in Dunelm Mill today and they have this -
http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/rudolph-reindeer-275193
It was £2.99 and isn't as small as it looks, It's a medium sized one and I expected it to be a bit pricier that it was so I snapped on up to give DS with the Rudolph game from Home Bargains as its the same official character!
Just thought I'd mention it incase anyone else who got the game is in there and wants to pick one upHaving a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona0 -
Just ordered a 'lottie' doll (the autumn one) for my DD (coming up 5), look so cute and certainly more child friendly than Barbie!

I am a little OCD when it comes to lists. I can't stand it when they start looking messy. So one list can be rewritten loads of times, and split into sub-lists etc .
All my friends laugh at me. I am going out with my Best Fiend on Wed. She rang tonight to tell me she was writing a list of people she needed to buy for. But when we get there, she will need to feed her baby. So we can have a coffee and I can go over said list and write it out again, as they are never up to my standard.:rotfl:
I love charity shops. My handbag came from a charity shop. It was practically new and only 5.99. When I got home I found the original tag in a pocket priced £69.99 from Debenhams.:j0
