In my defence though I did explain to him he knew what I was like about christmas befroe we go married in fact we had a christmas wedding because it is my FAVOURITE time of year!
Thank you getting there slowly I convince DH to go up Saturday as we need to go to costco anyway and I said I would treat him and DS to a posh lunch in the Ikea restaurant :-)

Was this in Poundland or B&M - I'll have a look my end if you'd like x

Wow, my first multiquote and I didn't even know I could do it! Thank you ellie but it was boots or asda. Really wish we had B&M down here, though. Thanks for the offer.

The only place I saw it was Boots.

You can order it online and have it delivered to a store for free.

Seems to be a minimum order of £20 to collect from store:(

Just looked at the empty bit in Boots and smiled as I imagined all the 'let it snow' girls rushing in for theirs.

Hmmmm....I wonder if I could make something like this? Old piece of wood, painted up and stencilled... It'd make great keepsake pressies :)

    Was thinking that myself.

I was also thinking of making some for my Choc hampers next year.

I may make coasters with the same design on.

    Sorry didn't realise that.
I only do it in the Jan Sales. I must always spend more than £20 then

  • I've just popped into two Sainsbury's stores. Not much going on with the toy sales in either store. Like others have said, there are no posters up to advertise it and only a few people browsing. Lots of 30% off things but not a lot of choice with anything really. I bought one thing - a sylvanian families set for £5 [still selling at £10 in Tesco] - but that's all. I'd hoped they would have more than one 'mini' set but both stores only had the one [a farm shop one]. :o

The interview went okay. Only three people were short listed and we are all NQTs, and all have minimal phonics experience [it is a year 1 class teacher position], so it is a level playing field I suppose. They said they would call - not sure whether to expect a call today or tomorrow, as they had finished all the interviews and lesson observations by midday. :) *fingers crossed*
  • Been to the dentist for 2nd part of a root canal today, so eased the pain with a wander round HB and B&M! Picked up a couple of presents for my 2 boys, 1 was a cheap version of frustration but had scooby-doo on it, also had looney tune version.
Nipped tesco and picked up a christmas ale in a tube £2 ideal stocking filler

Usually (at least in my experience) schools will let you know the same day as the interview if interviews are only over one day. Hope it's good news for you x
