i like the matalan cardigan too & i think theres a code for 20% off when you spend £40 if you were goin to get anything else.

Been to pound shop today got 3 coca cola trays and a plastic cocktail shaker with few stirrers & light up ice cube things in for dd's and nephews juice cocktail hampers (am quite excited) also got some big bars of cadburys caramel and cadburys turkish delight for dd's to wrap & decorate as snowmen and reindeers.

Passed thru primark and they've got loads of new stock in today but didnt have time to look as had to get off for school run, am mega tempted to take a half day & go to metrocentre tomorrow.

DD personalised christmas book arrived today aswell (my special christmas adventure) it looks really good but made me feel a bit bad that youngest dd didnt have a personalised book so have ordered a personalised peppa book for her, you pick the hair colour etc for her character in the book & peppa comes to her christmas party not as cheap as not living social deal but she'll love it .
Waffled on loads so best get going now:rudolf:
  • Hi every one - have been reading and enjoiyng this thread for ages, glad to see I am not the only one who loves all things christmassy!

Now I have managed to get one of this years primark christmas fleeces (to go with last years one lol) and saw some one mention cushions! Now I never saw them last year but a quick google and I found a pic. Does any one have a pic of what this years look like? The ones from last year don't quite match the throws so if they haven't got better I think I might get another blanket and butcher it into cushions - I say butcher as I'm not very crafty! Can't be too hard to do a simple envelope cushion cover though? Might be tricky sewing fleece....

Tonight I've started my Limoncello (peel is steeping in the vodka :) ), boozy mincemeat - although I've had about 5 teaspoonfuls already, need to get into jars asap or there'll be none left - and DS has made apple and fig chutney :j:j:j

♫ It's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas ♫
  • Thank you for the Xmas apron - just ordered one :)

I have my Christmas cake fruit soaking in brandy, and we've started our sloe gin that's already gone pink.

Just had payday so I'm about to start ordering the bits I've found for people. Feels like its all coming together. Its lovely to keep up and read how everyone is getting on. Its like a bit of sanity at the moment!

  • Hot chocolate at the ready & im going to catch up since yesterdays posts, but just wanted to let you all know whilst picking up pjs in primark today i happened across their christmas candles. I was a little apprehensive as they are sooooo cheap (£1-£4) but i decided to treat myself as a change from my glade spiced apple. I can thoroughly recommend them! I have the boughs of holly (£1) burning right now & its beautiful! A real outdoorsy christmassy scent, I also have the cinnemon stick reed defuser but havent opened it yet as were away next week so dont want to waste a weeks worth! it smells gorgeous though, great little treats that wont break the bank.
I also finally got the bayliss & harding gingerbread shower creme, cant wait to try it out in the morning!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

The only negative thing I saw was the owl money box which is £6 but looks very similar to the one in poundland
