Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Right I'm thinking of Christmas cakes/Christmas puddings!!! When's the best time to make them? My mum always used to make both in either June or July so that's what I'm thinking but is that too early? If it's not too early I think I'm gonna do them while Christmas in July in on QVC since I've booked the full 2 days off work just so I don't miss a minute of the christmassy-ness
Went into town yesterday and my local Store twenty one were selling 10m rolls of Christmas wrapping paper off at 10p! Needless to say I bought 20 rollsI shouldn't run out this year! I also managed to get a "Christmas countdown" chalkboard for just 10p, a box of luxury crackers (original price £8.99) for just 20p and 6 Christmas placemats and a table runner for 50p
My local card factory is also desperately trying to get rid of last years stocks so got 200 Cards for £1.50
It was like Christmas for me yesterday when 20 Christmas dvd's arrived on my doorstep courtesy of Play.com including favouites such as Elf, Grinch, White Christmas, The snowman, Love actually, All 3 Santa Claus moviesOrdered 20 Christmas films for less than £20 by going to the "Other sellers" option...most of the films were advertised as "Used - like new" but have even arrived still sealed! I suggest you all check it out if you're looking for cheap Christmas films....great for Christmas eve hampers

SIL's 2 daughters? (18 and 16) ???Will get mine posted later on when Ive sorted through my present stash.
For the teenage boys/girls, what about movie hampers? You can get dvds so cheap now and lots of deals on food/drink. Ive just had to get a present for a 15 year old boy and was a bit stuck but then thought what teenager doesnt like food!! :rotfl:It had to be posted and kept light but this is what I put in it:
DVD £3ish (you can get cheaper too)
Mini Pringles tub 80p
Milkshake straws 39p
Reeces peanut butter cups 70p (obviously again can get cheaper or different, this was personal preference)
Microwave popcorn 25p (I think was 4 for £1 from Home Bargains)
Cardboard popcorn box 25p (8 for £2ish ebay)
As a xmas present that didnt need to be posted it could obviously be made bigger. I know I would love a movie night hamper and Im 24.'They only had one cow!'0 -

Have done that but with Amazon too - the market place is awesome!
If you're going to buy the santa clause films I'd look for the box set like this one:
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/3432553/The-Santa-Clause-Triple-Pack-Box-Set/Product.html?searchstring=santa+clause&searchsource=0&searchtype=allproducts&urlrefer=search
http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Santa-Clause-Movie-Collection/dp/B000TQLJ4Q/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1341761849&sr=8-1-spell
It's a bargain on amazon especially atm - postage £1.26 still makes it £2.62 for all three films. Much cheaper than buying them seperatley.
A lot are available for a penny on amazon so can be £1.27 with postagePrincess Sparklepants0 -
