You lot have really inspired me to start my Christmas preps a bit earlier this year :T I know I am wayyyyyy behind some of you but believe me, October is good for me :)

Today I am going to order 3 more presents (OH's grown up niece and nephew - joint present but couting it as two :rotfl: and my little nephew) and then this evening am going to start making my Limoncello - mmmmmmm. Am also going to have a go at making biscotti in a couple of weeks and going to give away little bottles to friends with the biscotti to dunk.

Is it too early for my Christmas playlist ??????

  • Hello, sorry I've not been able to respond indiviually to people but I've been trying to keep up with reading, you all continue to inspire me with gifts, and warm my heart with your thoughfulness.

Congratulations to the new babies and condolences to those who have lost loved ones recently.

I know a way back someone asked about a grown ups' snowman soup. In my experience the big kids love the normal version too - but I'm going to make a version in mugs from NOTHS (link from here thank you!) then put in the packets of chocolate and marshmallows but then a posher chocolate bar than the kids christmas decoration they get. T has Quality street big purple one bars on 3 for £1 I think, so I'll get something like that or a handful of Roses from a big tub. I'll then cello the mugs up.

I have a few adults that don't like hot choc so I'm going to do coffee but I'm on the look out for nice sashets of coffee to add. B&M have Kenko individual sachets but it doesn't look very exciting! I'd appreciate if anybody sees any they'd let me know!

Also I know you are the people to help me with this!: I'm driving a two hour round trip to pick up my brother at after he finishes work at 1am Christmas morning:eek:, I plan to have the Christmas tunes blaring but also perhap dress up! I know someone earlier said they were going to wear a Penguin onsie in the car to pick up their OH -but I really couldn't wear a onsie with the size of my backside!!! What other things could I dress up as?! Or should I just go for Christmas jammies?! Thanks in advance for any ideas!

It's an Italian Lemon liquer. I made it last year to mixed reviews. I personally didn't like it, and it was 50/50 Love or hate it!

I made it by making a lemon juice/sugar syrup, then adding this to vodka and shaking for a few weeks as other flavoured vodkas. I added the rind of the lemons too then strained them off for extra lemon taste although the recipie didn't say to do that!
