    hello,

im looking for some one who can knit dolls or perhaps adapt a knitted nativity figure into a capt jack from torchwood

if any one can help or direct me to a better place to ask, that would be great,

    many thanks
Sounds very interesting, may I ask why you need one? :) Sorry if too nosey, we are all big Dr Who/Torchwood fans in this house. :D What about on facebook? Lots of crafty pages where people sell their stuff. You could try asking on this page? http://www.facebook.com/pages/Christmas-2012/304912472935179

OwnMyOwn-Sorry about your dads reaction especially when youve gone to so much trouble. I think some people just dont 'get' hampers. I gave one to someone once filled with 'finest' food, family gave it to them for me and apparently the reaction would rather 'meh' (i wasnt told that to upset me, they were rather annoyed on my behalf as id gone to so much trouble and they didnt want me to waste my time and effort again) Ive had some great reactions though. :) Well done at getting all the links together! I guess 1198. :D

my3girls-((hugs)) I hope your DD will not be in hospital over christmas and any operation she has to have is as quick and pain free as possible. x Oh also B&M have Santa style collars with bells for cats/dogs, I neeeed one for my mums cat! He would give me such dirty looks lol!

Vintage queen 72-Its so rude when people say talking about christmas is 'sad'. To me its my hobby and I certainly wouldnt tell someone their hobby was sad! Some people also tut and roll their eyes at the mention of christmas but all of a sudden after Halloween they start talking about it and everyone else is 'allowed' to. Who are they they to dictate when its ok for us to talk about christmas? *raspberries* to them. :P Or *cranberries* to make it more festive. ;) I bet those round coca cola bottles are American, they have such great christmas stuff!!

tab1967-Oscar is a little cutie! Congratulations Nanny. :)

Ameyturtle-So glad you had a good day! Yaaaay at christmas products, we need reviews. :D

dinky_dragon-Have you thought of cardboard storage boxes? Very useful for them to use afterwards too. Home Bargains has some lovely ones, they are flatpacked in the homeware section usually. Last time i was in they had bigger ones £2.49 for 2 boxes (one design is birdcages and another one i cant remember) and another set of 2 smaller ones for a bargain 59p!! They had pink rainbow deisgn, blue chunky stripe, purple chunky stripe, cream polka dot and another I forget. :)

msgigglewick-Im having as much fun hunting gory weird things for my zombie apocalypse hampers as christmassy things too lol. :)

SugarSpun-So sorry to hear about your aunt. :( Sorry might be a stupid idea but could you maybe float your aunts christmas card down a river or in the sea if you live near or attach it to a helium balloon, release it on christmas day and it will make its way to her? xxx

*Twinkle*-Cant wait to hear an update on bubba, good luck! :)

picnmix-Primark has a lovely girls jumpers Im sure one was a reindeer. Also christmas leggings! :)

his missus-Your sky box will still work like a freeview box but record etc wont work. :)

nic2075-So sorry to hear of your loss. :( Lots of love. xxx

andipandi72-Cant believe your sister said that, as I said before some people just dont 'get' it. :( Im sure they were fab. :)

littlemschatabox-Do they do a silicone xmas tree shaped tin? Probably a lot easier to get out of silicone lol. :)

ellie9ellie-Hope your knee feels better soon. Have fun recipe organising. :)

disabled_NCIS_fan-I added 4 candy canes to basket and it was £1.99 postage so i think it only goes up a tiny bit per candy cane. :)

ostragirl-You can still get those canes filled with sweets at all seaside shops lol, do you know anyone going to the seaside soon or who lives there?

    Welcome all newbies. :)

Phew has taken me hours to catch up! :) Must not neglect you all again lol. Ive bought a few christmassy things in the past few days but the best bits were probably in Claires accessories where they had Coca Cola lipgloss for £1.50 so I got 2 plus a hello kitty ring for my friends little girl hoping they were still 3 for 2 and when i got to the till the lady said all sale items were buy 1 get 1 free!! :D So got myself some lovely apple earrings to wear to the Twilightathon. :D (was eyeing them up anyway so v.pleased!) Ive wanted to get my sister coca cola lipgloss for ages as shes coca cola mad and was waiting for sainsburys £3 one to go half price haha but this one worked out at 75p plus its nicer as its shaped like a metal coca cola lid! :) Also got Mario candy canes in B&M for any Mario fans? :) Today in 99p store I got 2 light up stars, I bought about 6 last year too lol, they are just so lovely and cute! Also got a light up santa! Got a few cards in Poundland and a lovely cardboard merry christmas banner then went into Wilkinsons and got various bits and bobs including some lovely make your own sets including banners, gift bags and decorations! Shopping ended on a bum note though as i very excitedly whizzed around Primark, ecstatic to find christmas jumpers for me, DS and OH plus the fleece and xmas pyjamas for me and then my card was declined at the till and I had to leave the whole lot. :o:o:o Totally miscalculated what I had in the bank. :o But Im going back to get them on Friday. :) If payday wasnt so close and I had to wait Id be so sad. :o I was over the moon to find christmas jumpers for DS and OH! The boys ones were green with rudoph on and red with a christmas pud on (£9 each and had lovely girls ones too) and OHs was red with rudolph on. (£12)
Anyway Id better go to bed, DS has another ear infection so probably another long night. x

Oh moneysavingmumofone that used to happen to me all the time. The trick is to take someone with you as a "spare" many many times my DD,DS,BFF have had to bail me out at the till. Hey it's only money:) Now I've got an app on my phone but it happened that often they joke about it and I didn't even blush! Hope you get some sleep. X
My3girls I don't know how I missed your earlier post. Big hugs and hope DD is soon on the mend:) x

Thank you too Rosie I'd forgotten about those. I popped into Lakeland last year when they'd reduced that set but they'd all gone:( Not to be put off tho I found a set of star cutters in graduating sizes from asda and thought I'd try a mini version to put with my pressies then ran out of time! Do you think it would work with my asda cutters? Cos I'm NOT NOT NOT going to run out of time this year ( not if you lovelies have anything to do with it)

Yes I should think it would work with the Asda cutters. The Lakeland set were just a set of varying sizes and you cut two of each size and then stacked them up. The largest size was about 5 inches or so across but small ones would be lovely. It was a lot of shortbread to eat with it being so big. You have given me the idea that I could do two or three smaller ones this year instead of one big one.

:) Well I've put a self-ban on Christmas shopping for the rest of the month - until Payday (to help spread the cost out). But I couldn't resist these nail transfers. :) Going to wear them during the week before Christmas :)http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nail-Wraps-Pink-Black-Double-Bow-20-Full-Nail-Art-Water-Decals-Nail-Transfers-/220971764730?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Nails_Manicure_Pedicure_CA&hash=item3372f18bfa

Now I just need that fairisle cardi and I'll be all set!! (I'm still looking - although at the moment the reindeer one in matalan is winning - thank you for showing me it!!)

    Morning :)

I'm so excited I'm going to Home Bargains today :j been up since 6.30 due to excitement, methinks I need to grow up a bit :o hahahaha also gonna have a trawl of Wilkinsons, B&M, poundshops etc, DD1 isn't coming till 10 and she's doing the driving today (I love being Chauffered) :p

Oscar is just darling, congratulations to Granny & Family x

Twinkle Hope all goes well today chick, thinking of you and looking forward to hearing the lovely news of a safe arrival x

Moneysavingmumofone Thanks for the heads up RE: Mario candy canes, will look out for them in B&M as nephew loves Mario. I also use a 'back up bank person' in the shops AKA as DD1 :D I've been caught short before and was thoroughly mortified hahaha

Hoping to get stocking fillers sorted for everyone in HB, it's the first year my 4 yr old GD is getting one and I'M doing it :j DS and DIL haven't gone down that route yet even though I've been saying since she was born.

Better take my over-excited-sad little self into the kitchen and sort DD2 out for school.

    Laters x

ohhhi meant to make a star tree last year and ran out if time.

that christmas cupcake tree is fantastic.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Now here's an idea

    p5570_column_grid_5.jpg

These are fab, if you have a leaf nozzle, nozzle number 113 if its a Wilton make, this is what I got and you would pipe as normal around the cake, then build up in layers like the picture above and you then would get a christmas tree effect, I did them last year with the leaf nozzle, little coloured balls and then cut out a star using fondant x
