Do you know what I *really* want? A nice winter cardigan. Something nordic/fair isle looking, it can be either pinks/greys or reds/whites. It'd be even better if it had 'subtle' reindeer in the pattern. I'm thinking something like this http://www.mcgregor-fashion.com/women-cardigan-bedford-fair-isle-red.html but far more MSE than this one. Help?!
Oh and not in wool - it must be washing machine friendly - I had one from Fat Face a while ago but it shrunk in the first wash (despite it saying it was safe to wash!)0 -

To which I jokingly said, ' Yes its to go with you Cheese and Pickles Hamper' (Which it was)
He actually laughed and said ' F!!! Off , Cheese and Pickle Hamper. If I want cheese and pickles I'll go and bl00dy buy some.'
I think he thought I was joking.
I just get so fed up sometimes. Everytime I try and do something different, nobody here wants to know.
I actually got in the car and cried.
Oh nooooo, thats awful! *sends you lots of hugs*am so sorry that happened to you, I know he thought you were joking and would probably feel terrible if he realised, but it doesnt stop it hurting any when you've worked so hard to do something nice
if it helps even a little bit, if somebody had made the things for me that you did for him, I'd be bowled over and so touched and happy that so much wonderful thought had gone into a gift xxx0 -
I had a trip to home bargains today as I never made it last week. I bought some Christmas tea towels, some Christmassy cupcake cases with cute little flags. I got the mini truffle size ones too. I also got a 'Merry Christmas' wooden decoration for my mantel piece. And some plaster tree decs for the kids to paint in December.
It hey had loads of the Reindeer game, but I didn't get it.
There was more in HB that I wanted to get, but I had the kids with me, so I have another excuse to go back again soon:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Oh you poor thing
Do you think he's thinking it will be a jar of Branston pickle and a lump of cheddar? When he see's the effort you've gone to he might appreciate the gift and the thought behind it??
That made me laugh. He would most probably be happier with some cheddar and branston pickle than a selection of different cheeses. I just can't bring myself to give it to him .:rotfl:0 -
I'm sure someone on here was asking how many jars of marmalade a can of Mamade makes. I've just made some and it has made 6 and a half jars.0

Thanks!! Unfortunately I live in the middle of nowhere lol. The nearest one to me is around 40-45 mins away. I tend to do most of my shopping onlineIf I don't see one online I'll bear this in mind when I'm next on the high street.

The only thing I can add at the mo is about my sharing sack. I have two boys very close in age and they always ask for lots of the same things at Xmas, I cannot afford to buy two of everything so larger things and DVDs, Wii games etc are placed in a separate sack called the sharing sack. I have a note attached to it which states:
Please do not open these presents unless you are prepared to share them. Love Santa. PS my elves will be checking.
It has worked a treat for the last 5 years!
That is such a great idea - my two are having a PS3 and games (got them free when I upgraded my phone) so I wil definetely do the same -thank you xxx0 -
Sorry own my own, my family are a bit like that aswell my dd's made snowman soup last year and only my sister her dh & kids drank them. Grandparents etc still have them sitting in the cupboard untouched.
Did pots of gold as table place settings & they went down much better, think it was the chance of winning some cash & ferero roche (not many people can resist ferero roche)
Got my daughter some poppet moshi pj's from primark think they were £7 or £8.
andy what about a charity pin or keyring as gifts can get loads of different really nice ones.0
