  • WOW..... just..... WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah tell me about it, I find it really odd as I'm from a large family, where family has always come first and I'm lucky that everyone always makes an effort, and is always great full for what ever they receive

  • People are weird...my MIL, as much as I love her, is a strange character. She loves her dog more than her children and grandchildren, my OH said she has always been like this and him and his brother had this all through there childhood...she won't put the dog in a kennel for 3 days over Xmas as he 'wouldn't like it' so she isn't coming to spend christmas with us this year, I have dared tell the kids yet as they will be devastated...her dog is also a nightmare, last christmas it nearly bite both of our kids twice, and she doesn't do anything, I had to ask her to take him outside...but she wouldn't come back in until the dog was allowed back in! I feel bad as I put my foot down and banned the dog, so now she isn't coming..but I'm not having my kids frightened to be in there own home.
Sorry rant over! Back to Christmas happy chats now! :T:xmastree::rudolf:

aww i sympaphise with you, when youngest dd was 18mnth, fil's dog bit her whilst she was in his care (we were working). She had to have stitches, we were told she was lucky as it was so close to her eye, and she still has a scar and half her eyebrow doesnt grow now. Anyway, i love my fil to bits, but always thought dog was tempremental etc, but never dreamt this nightmare would happen whilst we were working and fil was babysitting. Fil had dog put to sleep next day, and luckily dd doesnt remeber, and we have a wonderful dog ourselves who despite looking a bit mean (shes an american bulldog) is the most loving, loyal creature alive, so dd isnt afraid of dogs etc. Sorry im rambling but my point is stick to your guns DO NOT put your children in danger, unfortunatly some people can not see the truth about their pets until its too late! Im sure you will all ahve a wonderful xmas, and at least u wont have to have eyes i n the back of your head!
