I have just subscribed and there are so many wonderful ideas on here!!

The only thing I can add at the mo is about my sharing sack. I have two boys very close in age and they always ask for lots of the same things at Xmas, I cannot afford to buy two of everything so larger things and DVDs, Wii games etc are placed in a separate sack called the sharing sack. I have a note attached to it which states:

Please do not open these presents unless you are prepared to share them. Love Santa. PS my elves will be checking.

It has worked a treat for the last 5 years!

Love this idea! We've always had a family present to share but love the sack and note idea, thanks x

Thanks so much, ill definitely need to get a pair, I'll phone my local first as they don't seem to stock as much now since the big Edinburgh one has opened.

Ameyturtle - good luck in lush! Just last night I was on their website coveting the Santa bath bomb, party popper one and the bath moustache lol

I'm now thinking of personalised crackers, lego figure for my lad, brandy mini for grandad, nail polish for the wife that sort of thing

Edit: just seen the Snowman soup, great idea

They sound great, I always make our own crackers (well buy a kit!) this year me and hubby will have scratchcards & dd has a toy story blind bag (dont know why toy it is).

If you have any females to buy for im sure when the boots do the spend £5 get a no7 voucher could come in handy!?

There are still 2 rows of rudolph game in Sheffield (Hillsborough) - perhaps worth asking if they can do a store transfer if yours don't have one?

While I was looking at the games another lady picked it up to look at it - a few little words from me about how we'd played it every night for the last week and she walked away with the game and a big smile on her face.............. we should get comission!!!

we all have a stocking but a couple of years ago I got one with a christmas countdown whiteboard on. Last year I used it for advent calender pressies but what a FANTASTIC idea for this years one. I've got a few DVDs, thomas trains etc that I was thinking of wrapping up between them.

I know this has probably been asked before but I don't really have time to look back through 285 pages!! Does anyone know where I can get ribbon saying 'gift from the North Pole' or something along those lines? :-)
