Zippy x
Bought these for my boys the other day - they're lovely. Also managed to get DH a grown ups spiderman onesie which I'm sure he'll be thrilled about (but the kids love it so that's what counts!) :rotfl:0 -
Hiya :santa2:
and no single pair of mens socks, I only want one pair for 82 yr old grandpa-in-law to go with his biscuits, so left there empty handed except for the food to order guide.
Have you looked in the pound shops - they tend to have single pairs of socks. Must admit the only ones I've bought there have been novelty ones (which might not be your grandads taste) but they might do plainer ones.

Where oh where did you get the grown up spiderman onesie please?! My brother would LOVE one!0 -
Morning all,
Congratulations to all the new Mums and Grandmas
Think I'm coming down with a spot of man flu
Got to go into town later to take the shops takings to the bank. Got a jumper to take back to Primark so am hoping they have the Christmas jumpers to look at and some nice pj's. Will also have a look in Wilko's as we need some stuff for work - the perfect excuse
Went to a town and country show yesterday. Managed to get MIL a lovely scarf which I've stashed away for Christmas, they had some lovely decorations there.
We bought a lovely watercolour painting of the four seasons. The winter one has a lovely snowy cottage with a robin and holly on, It's a beautiful Christmassy scene.
Tonight when I get home I'm going to get all the presents out to check I've not missed any off my list.
It's payday on Friday so we can finish it all off (she say's, I'll just continue to see things during Nov/Dec and everyone will end up with more!)
I like to have it all done at least by early December then I like to wrap in stages during December - Christmas music or a film on, hot choc or mulled wine, in my christmas pj's with the tree lights twinkling...bliss
I've found some fab sausage dog socks in go in my Mum's mini hamper from the dog.
Thought of a great idea for my Aunt and Uncle. My Dad absolutely loved Mr Whippy ice creams so I've decided to do them a 'things that Dad liked' hamper for them (my Aunt is my Dad's Sister - they were very close) So I thought I would do an ice cream part - ice cream shaped sweets, toppings, ice cream bowls, ice cream fridge magnet and pen etc. Put some bike shaped chocs in, an ice cream mug and some crunchies and twirls and a photo frame with a pic of my Dad in.
Does anyone else do hampers?
Then for Christmas day I'm going to give everyone a crunchie and a twirl tied in ribbons so we can 'toast' one to my Dad - he would love it
Got some Mr Kipling mini Christmas cake slices, so have bought one for my Lunchbut I'm yet to have my first mince pie of the season. My Aunt makes her own, they are soooooo much better then shop bought ones. So I'm waiting for her to make her first batch

They're all lovely so they wouldn't tell us if they hated them. I don't think they did, but you can't be sure. Anyway, tough, they're getting them again anyway!
I know. I only started the conversation as I have decided to make my Dad one this year . His birthday is in Feb, so he can have the smelly set I have got him for that.
I already have a pickle/chutney selection from Marks for him and the Werthers Vodka. I was going to get him a cheese board and biscuits.
As you say , oh well , he is getting it anyway.0 -
for those making small hampers for children look what i just found online at wilkinsons. I think these can be used as the hamper base. I am going to wilkinsons tomorrow and will just have to get a few of these..(its the lunch tin russian dolls design incase link does not work)

Ooooh yes of course, I usually buy DS2 some character ones for his Stocking but sometimes I have seen plainer ones, although Grandpa is a game old guy he may enjoy some Simpsons socksThank You.
emmalou88 I'm loving the sound of the Chocolate bars wrapped in ribbon, fab idea and I bet they'll look really pretty.
Ameyturtle Ooooh how lucky are you! I love Lush, Good Luck on your first day chick x
Andy I'm not ignoring you, just I have no creative gene so haven't got a clue the only thing that sprang to mind was £1 trolley coins on a keyring Sorry0 -

spacecadet1-I will keep an eye out for some!My DS is 7 1/2 and size 2 in shoes.
Ameyturtle-Very best of luck today! Im sure your first shift will go great! :T
DamzelInDistress-Yaaaay at getting the Rudolph game. The PomBear snowmen were in a wire basket at the end of a random aisle in my Asda!
clayton79-:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:@ christmas bikini!
popularfurball-Thats a lovely idea for your nan.
Snugglebunny8-Im with you on never commenting on someones height/appearance, theres no reason to! My DS is 7 1/2 and in 10-11 years clothes (I think they will be too short by new year ) and size 2 shoes. Hes always been in a bigger size clothes, he was 9lb at birth and really long! Some people just seem to think they can comment on what they like and will pick on anything about someones appearance. When DS was about 2 he tripped and hit his mouth off the edge of the toilet!! He chipped his front tooth and over time it went grey. The dentist said to just let it come out so we did but it took its own sweet time and only fell out this year lol! Anyway several people have made comments to him about it, ok two people (I dont hold grudges honest :rotfl:) and they both said something along the lines of he'd been eating too many sweets! I work so hard to keep his confidence up, i dont need strangers saying things like that to him!! Anyway back to christmas loveliness, sorry.
oh bless him! it never ceases to amaze me how people can make those sorts of comments, apart from the fact its plain rude to make comments about peoples appearance etc, even if it HAD been anything to do with his diet a) they don't know anything about it and b) what does it have to do with them?! so rude!
I bear grudges ... !:rotfl: never used to but these days I no longer let everything go, think I may end up the other way!! :rotfl:
