Never been a fan of the snowman but the kids might like it! Will have a look & see if it's on sky movies or the Christmas channel! Love the Grinch, saw it at the cinema in our pre kid days! Am sure they'd like it too! Will add it to my list - thank you!
Debenhams crackers, someone mentioned them for £10 they are fine but for me it's all they are worth, I've either got those or the ones from BHS, they usually go down to about £6/£7 for a "luxury" box and have pretty much the same gifts!
Yankee Candles were also mentioned, a seller on eBay has two packs of yankee tea lights for £12.50 delivered, works out a little cheaper if you want two packs and they have loads of Christmas ones inc my favs! Good feedback, etc.,
Off Christmas shopping for my birthday on Monday, so hoping to pick up a load of the stuff I can't get online! I could go birthday shopping for me but in truth I'd rather go Christmas shopping, think lunch and wine are on the menu though and I've got to pick some presents from the oh! Really looking forward to it though!~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -
:bdaycake:happy birthday for Monday kez_z I can't think of a better way to spend it:) Funnily enough my birthday was in July and whilst eating our party buffet DGD2 pressed the Christmas app on my phone and it started to play "we wish you a merry Christmas " DD said turn that off but I loved it and got away with it cos it was my birthday:)
I've just eaten two (yes two) warmed mince pies with cream for supper at 11pm! Will I be up all night with indigestion- yes - were the worth it- definitelyThe secret of Christmas

Am on a diet and TOTALLY JEALOUS :rotfl:
Been meaning to ask you how your Christmas Stock Cupboard was going. You were one of the first people to reply to my thread when it was merged with 'Who doesn't have a stock cupboard ?'
But I can see its going REALLY WELL.:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

I bought a box of 12 Crackers 2 years ago. As there is only the 3 of us, we still have another 2 Christmas' before I will need to buy another box.:snow_grin0 -
I should be too own my own! You should see the size of me.
Aaw bless you fancy remembering that:) I'm doing ok I think thanks to your advise. I've been buying extra normal shopping - soap powder, fabric softener, washing up liquid, oxo, crackers, cheese, plain biscuits, juice, loo rolls, tooth paste, soap, tissues and kitchen roll up to now. I'm hoping to have all my basics so the that shopping in mid December can just be Christmas goodies. Bought a few boxes of choccies - pressies really-when they were £4 and a couple of treat size chocs this week to put away- on offer for Halloween. As you probably kno I'm off to Australia ( cos I talk of nothing else) tryin to complete my Christmas shopping so I can concentrate on saving for that. And fill my days with festive fun in the run up to Christmas -I really am thoroughly spoilt! The secret of Christmas

I finish school 21st and we were travelling back upto Liverpool that eve from Wycombe to then spend at least a week at home & ny was undecided.
Now just found out he has to work the 22nd &&& 23rdso cant travel back til atleast night of 23rd urgh andddddd he is 'on call' from the 24th - 1st so we can be called allllllll the way back down at the ring of a phone just to sort out some stupid problem.
I am well and truly angry!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Off to ring my mum for a further moan!
Sorry everyone!
Oh no!!! I'm sorry to hear that, hopefully he won't be called and you will just be able to get on and enjoy your Christmas.pinknfluffy28 wrote: »And finally, my dh cleared out the garage today and found some florist foam, he was just about to throw it when i screamed at him that i needed it, when he asked what for i admitted i wasnt quite sure...yet! Anyway, i have since talked myself out of pots of gold, and instead im going to do candy boquets! I hate to see anything go to waste, and i have decided the money i will save on lottery tickets far outweighs the need to buy a few extra choccies and some sticks!
Fab way to use it up! :T0 -
I managed to do a bit of shopping last night after work, I picked up 6 Christmas catalogues! Although 3 of them are M&S so it's not that bad. I don't even need to buy the food for Christmas this year but after all of the chatter on here I just had to pick up an M&S food catalogue! :rotfl:It's quite pricey but good for ideas and a treat.
I was a bit put out as I bought my dad a Toblerone from Poundland the other day so I was pleased with my bargain, but I went into the 99p shop last night and they had them for 89p!!! I know it's only 11p difference but still annoying!
I bought a Carole Matthews book for my friend from The Works for £1.99, it's called 'Wrapped up in You'. Not sure if anyone on here has read it but it appears to be set around Christmas time. I kind of want to keep it for myself! :rotfl:
I bought my friend a Christmas mug for her coffee to go in, some baskets for my film hampers, lots of Cadbury's Wishes to pop into the Christmas bags, a port set for my auntie and a lovely McVite's savoury biscuit selection tin for my OH's dad. I originally saw it a few weeks ago and thought it would be an ideal present for him as he loves his cheese and biscuits, but at £10 thought it was too pricey. However last night it was half price at £5 so I grabbed it. I'm thinking of getting some nice cheese from Harrods to go with it when I make my annual trip in December, I bought some cheese from there for my dad last year and he really enjoyed it.0 -

My OH and I made food hampers for people last year and they went down really well! I really enjoy food so i'd love to get a basket of my favourite bits!I'm actually thinking about doing a small one for my OH this year and one for my Grandma, she doesn't want many material things now so this would be useful and practical.

evening! just popping my head in - someone wanted the asda play kitchen - it's back in stock
http://direct.asda.com/Wooden-Kitchen-Set/000746258,default,pd.html
only in flippin' pink though!
It was me thank you so much xxxx . All the plastic ones come with extra play things and make beeps and noises. But I love the wooden ones, hope she does too. She is only little, so I want her to use her imagination and realise not everything has to flash, speak or make a noise. Hope that's not too old fashioned?
I have few pages to go and catch up on. But our Christmas eve films are always Santa Clause the Movie and Polar express. The kids love them both. Elf and Muppets Christmas carol usually gets watche during December.
I got them one from Asda last year, it was only £4, called The littlest light on the Christmas tree, the kids adore it. It's another feel good film.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
