  • Have finished my bottles of skittles vodka & having initially tasted them & thought , I added a fair few more skittles & they are now fairly delicious. I made orange, red & yellow & tried them with a little bit of ice (as if they'd been in the freezer which is I think how they're meant to be served) & they are much better than I thought they'd be. Sorry I can't remember who also made some & thought it tasted :eek:but definitely worth adding a few more skittles rather than wasting vodka

Awww, I was in Beverley last weekend - wish I had know about this then cos its not allllll that far from there.

I have some new wheels now tho so maybe I will have to go have a little look-see

Well I'm in Bridlington and as it has NOTHING to offer me Christmas-wise I have no choice but to venture further afield to get my Christmassy fix - luckily my parents told me about this place 2 Christmases ago and it's now turned into our regular Christmas day out (often every other weekend as of October :o)

Ooooooohhhhh just been speaking to my mum today and she's informed me that tomorrow....(hold on to your hat's ladies!!!)......she is putting her tree up!!! :D:D:D I remember growing up I hated them going up so early but now I have a child of my own I LOVE it!!! Mum always used to tell us she did it for the kids and we admittedly used to say "No, she does it simply for herself" but now I can see that she really did do it for us.....if I could have my decs up all year round I would...my 2 year old LOVES the "pretty Christmas" as she always tells me whenever we pass a local hairdressers in town that has fairy lights up all year round :D

    Hello,

Saw some people asking for pics of xmas jumpers at primark - heres some from the doncaster branch:

They were £12 each. I got a penguin one :j:j

I bought 2 for DD if anyone wants to see them. Think there were 4 different designs tho, but didn't take photos of all of them.

I also made myself an elf which I am really pleased with :j:j Can't wait for it to come and visit and create mayhem :T:T

Loving the Christmas jumpers, might have to get a few. Thanks for posting :T Did you notice if they had young boys jumpers & jumpers for men?

    Also love your elf :T

It was me, and the bottles are sitting next to the sink ready to go:eek:

Will get some more skittles tomorrow and try round 2.
My Werthers one is so nice I don't think they will compare. But for the sake of a pound I will give it ago.:)
  • Thanks abis21 for the Primark Christmas jumper pictures, now I want one even more and cannot decide which one to get. Normally I'm against penguins at Christmas *ducks and hides* (they just live where its snowy, doesn't make them christmassy) but actually think that penguin one is the best one. May buy that one and the Santa one.

    Cute elf BTW.

    Hi all

I am looking for cellophane bags / cones to make snowman's soup and fairy soup for my family this xmas. I know some are sold on amazon and ebay. Are any sold in places like poundland??

    Thanks
    RB

YES! I bought a pack of 20 cellophane bags with gold stars on from poundland last weekend, they came with gold ribbons too :). They were with the party items (wrapping paper, hen night things, gift bags etc).

Sorry - didn't venture into the boys or the men sections :o I did notice some cool boys pyjamas tho - halloween style ones. I couldn't find any new christmas jamas for DD as we only went about 3 weeks ago and got her a couple of pairs.

I'm not notmally a penguin kinda gal either - but I liked that one best out of the 3 designs. I did like santa but I don't weat much navy things - most of my bottoms are black so I don't think I would wear it and the rudolph one - I love red but thought that jumper was much plainer than the other 2. I am also wearing some fab new penguin pyjamas as I type complete with penguin slipper socks  I'm soooooo rock n roll now I am 30 :p

Oooooo, sounds fab. I love bridlington :D:D We must go about 15 times a year or something. I would live there if we could

Wow, that is early on the ol christmas tree putting up!! I think we will have ours up in the last week in November if pos as we are away the first weekend in December and I don't want to wait any longer than that :rotfl:

I bought some candy canes from home bargains today - thanks again for everyones help on this the other day. I also got a chalk rudolph board where we can write the countdown to christmas on. It was only £1.29 I think?

Someone was after Boys Xmas PJ's??

John Lewis have some in ages 2 - 12 years, BUT they are expensive :o (well, to me they are)

    http://www.johnlewis.com/333532/Product.aspx

Last year I wanted some Xmas themed PJ's for my sons (tall 7 & 10 year olds) and I looked everywhere!, but really struggled to find any. I ended up ordering some from John Lewis about 2 weeks before Xmas when they were reduced to half price :). They were really nice quality and because I bought slightly bigger sizes, they will be wearing them this year too!

  • Thanks for posting the pics of the Primark jumpers! Our shop only has the penguin ones, so I was curious to see what the others looked like.
I think I want the Rudolph. Despite how scarily bright red it looks.
