    Hello all ;)

Congrats on the arrival of our first Christmas baby!!! Well done and welcome to the world little Lexie!!

Well on to Christmas business, I have been out shopping today and am ready to report back!

Firstly have been buying candles, as I have said before I am addicted to yankee but cannot afford to burn them until closer to Chrimbo! Have been indulging in Glade ones lately and they are not bad as long as you choose the scent carefully!
Glade ones are currently 1.75 in Wilkos which is cheaper than the half price at Tesco! Also Savers have the air wick ribbons ginger bread and mulled wine candles for 1.99 ;these are in a glass container and range between 6 and 7 quid elsewhere!!! They smell delicious but haven't indulged yet!

Also bought the moshi toothbrushes and toothpaste in savers ready for the hampers. They also had these spin brush my way toothbrushes for 2.49!

Then I managed to get some Cadburys raisins packs in poundland. I also managed to get three books for a pound there too. I bought 2 Jacqueline Wilson books and one by Hilary McKay that had won a prize!

I then called in at Claire's and managed to get a few bits in the BOGOF sale! I bought dd a couple of cute necklaces to use as stocking fillers ;)

  • For anyone that might be interested, I just picked up some Yankee Candles & holders from a Hallmark Outlet Shop (Card shop but their outlet version) for less than half the price of the Yankee Candle online store.. Bought some Christmas votive candles and gorgeous snowman & reindeer candle holders - great price but i'm not convinced by the pine tree one, it really doesn't smell that pretty haha..

    Hi all

I am looking for cellophane bags / cones to make snowman's soup and fairy soup for my family this xmas. I know some are sold on amazon and ebay. Are any sold in places like poundland??

    Thanks
    RB

These are the ones I bought...

  • Any fellow snowman soupers do you think it would be good to add a layer of choc chips in between the marshamallows? Having never bought them before is there anywhere that sells them cheapish? looked at them in the baking aisle but it seemed dear for a small amount.

I broke out and ordered a few of the Bright Side items from amazon today, not the cheapest but very quirky, the new bowl will go in the dog's hamper.
