Well have finally caught up. Arent we all busy bees. Went to a garden centre last night for opening of xmas dept. Somehow ended up buying another small xmas tree, hidden from hubby, for yhe downstairs loo! And a couple of ornaments. Want to start building up one of those village scenes. At this rate gonna take years, the buildings are pricey!
Just bought a father christmas and a street choir.
Now must get on and tackle my to do list starting with the ironing. Catch up later x
The Range has a huge range (lol) of little houses etc you could use to create a village and really cheap! :)

    To all Yankee Candle fans-

How long do their tea lights burn for ?

And are they normal tea light size?

My nativity scene is a tea light holder, and I was thinking of giving in and buying some. But £7/ £8 for 12 is a lot of money for tea lights.

I also don't know what they smell like.

Or the best place to buy them.
Asda has them, only £1 each for the votive candles so great when youre seeing what ones you like. I must admit I bought the cinnamon one and it hardly smelt of anything when lit, bit disappointed. :(
Hi everyone, not posted in absolutely ages. Spent a couple of nights in hospital worried about babies (theyre both fine and still 'cooking' btw!) and came back to a gazillion pages to go through, ok so Im 61 pages behind but might as well be a gazillion!

Just wanted to say thanks to whoever mentioned the reindeer throw and cushions in Primark. I had to buy some..... I absolutely love them!

I agree that tinsel is tacky. However, I use gold tinsel that I have cut up into satsuma size pieces that i scatter in the branches and they look really good twinkling in the lights. I also do a nigella and have lots of soft fairy lights around my kitchen. Teehee I cant wait for Christmas now, though Im wondering if I will have the time/inclination to decorate how I usually would as I will have 2 little babies to look after !!!

Anyway, I'll get back to reading. Dont think I will ever catch up!
So glad you and babies are ok, when are you due? x

I went to Home Bargains today, couldnt wait any longer. :o And I got the Rudolph game!! :j:j I actually got so distracted down the xmas aisle that I forgot I was supposed to be looking for it until OH pointed it out! :rotfl:Also got some London 2012 mugs, 29p unboxed and 39p boxed. Great stocking fillers! Will post exactly what I got when I get back from the school run. :)

Have you tried right-clicking on the photo when it's open in whatever photo browser you use, clicking copy then when you type your post on here right-click and paste?

    Hi all,
I previously (a week ago) found a thread on MSE where it was a no chat thread hamper thread. all people were allowed to put on were pictures of completed hamper, a list of items in the hamper and what the items cost. I stupidly seem not to have subscribed and now i cant find it. Anyone has a link they can share?
    thanks

  • Thanks snugglebunny. And I am fully prepared to get addicted! :D
  • Some of you may have already seen it on the Grabbit board but just in case you haven't Sainsbury's are selling Etienne Dumont Brut NV Champagne 75cl for £12 reduced from £32 until the 16th Oct.

We're staying with my parents this year so my mum usually gets the food but i'm going to grab a bottle at this price to take with me!

Credit and thanks to looking4luck on the Grabbit board.
  • oooh thanks! we had a bottle of that last Christmas, they had it similarly reduced this time last year - it was delish!

Part of the Furniture Photogenic Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
Another vote for Muppets Christmas Carol Kez_s.

Just a thought - my Rudolph game was in the new (seperate from toys) board game aisle NOT christmas aisle (incase anyone had been looking in the wrong place).

Went into John Lewis today and they had a christmas tree and (pretend) reindeer near the toys. So we eagerly went to look at their 'christmas shop' - pfffttt disapointed would be an understatement.

No chocolate satsumas (i think they were called) in my Mr T.

Hmmmm wonder if I can persuade DS1 and 2 to make a start on making their christmas cards this weekend??... goes off to search pinterest for ideas....................
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
