I shall find out hopefully in about an hours time - I have an appointment at 3.45.
I had to have a 3rd Gestational Diabetes test in 10 weeks and get the results today. But also they are concerned about my blood pressure - the stupid thing is now I know they are concerned I have done nothing but worry so when I have it re taken again today it is going to be sky high because im so worried!!!
Also I think my Iron levels have dropped again despite me taking supplements daily.
My SPD is horrific at the moment and coupled with all the anxiety my hormones are a bit haywire!
I think I am beginning to really face reality that it wont be long until we have a baby at home and after 5 years and 10 miscarriages and going through so much I don't think it had really all sunk in until now! But with the prospect of the diabetes and pre eclampsia im also worried about things going wrong.
So I have hibernated a little bit this past week.
Hopefully it will all have been a false alarm and I can celebrate being perfectly healthy later
BTW Whoever made/brought those knitted elves I WANT 1!!!!!!!!!!!! I shall read more when I get back later and find out if I can buy one but if someone made them then i think you should go into business! All the other elves freak me out a little bit but when i was little my great nanny used to knit dolls and teddys and those remind me of her and id definitely buy one!
Sending you a hug :grouphug:0 -
Ty for all the lovely comments on my elves
the actual elf takes a while to knit as its lots of little bits and i've got enough yarn and eyes here to make just one more.. will have to buy some more eyes and green yarn i think if anyone else would like one.. i struggle to put a price on them though!
Damzel_In_Distress i'll get your bag knitted up tonight
To others feel free to contact me by pm.. though only got one pair of hands etc lol
Just had a neighbour knock on my door having been told that i love xmas lol and asked me todo a few bits for her grandchildren as she can no longer knit due to arthritis in her hands.. bless her.

A littel while some one posted a photo of a christmas bauble with a lovely verse/sentiment on it.
I would love one of these to give to my hubby (his father died on Boxing Day last year)
Any ideas where I can get one from?
Alternatively I was thinking about buying a bauble and using SAFMAT to put a verse on it myself. - Do you have any suggestions for the verse?
Sorry to be a pest - its just that I know Christmas will be hard for him this year.
I haven't got far enough down the thread to see if anyone has given this answer, so apologies if you have.
I bought one last year from gettingpersonal.co.uk for a friend whose mum had died the previous year and they engrave it with your own message.
Christmas was/is hugely important to them all and my friend had bought her mums house and it was going to be their first Christmas in the "new" house. I had it engraved as if mum was speaking to them and felt quite confident about it, until it came to giving it to her! Then the doubts crept in big time, expecially as I knew there would be tears, but she loved it, (even with the tears!) She knew her mum would be there in spirit, but the bauble made it more real.
I think I paid about £12-13 for it, which was alot, but it was also much bigger than I thought and does actually take alot of wording.A smile costs little but creates much0 -

10 miscarriages - oh my god I can't even coprehend that - I've had 2 and that was bad enough - my heart goes out to you - but on a happier note you have baby due soon xx
I symphasise totally with the SPD - had it badly on both of mine - crutches and support brace. Physio and Chiropractic treatment after the birth really do help. My Chiropractor had to re-allign my hips after the birth of both my DD's as everything was out of allignment.0 -

Picked up an M&S food catalogue, but I'm full of a streaming cold at the moment so nothing took my fancy whilst flicking through it
Shall have a proper look when I feel better.
hope you feel better soon.
I popped into M&S today too and no food brochures, I got much the same look I got last week when I asked in Boots about the Christmas book! :rotfl: but apparantly it is due into stores this week he said.
M&S have their first lot of Christmas decs and cards in, wrapping paper and accessories and a few gifts, though the 3 for 2 doesn't seem to be on in stores yet that is online? not on SEL's anyway. They do have cakes, various biscuits and chocolates half price, and have one aisle of Christmas foods out, mainly chocolate, cakes, mince pies, sweet tins etc, quite a lot of their chocolates and the choccy coins etc.0 -

hope the appointment went well and you are ok, I know its trite to say 'don't worry' but it does sound like they are monitoring you very closely - it's natural to worry though, I worried constantly with DD and DS due to miscarriage and bleeding through pregnancy, have fingers crossed your appointment went well, let us know how it wentx
