I just bought this cute wooden cake stand with cakes from my DD. it's from Zulily, was £19.00 but you can get it for £8.80 with a code. I got the one next to it too and the code took the 20% off that too, the postage can be quite steep, but the offers only last a few days. Pm me if you want the code, or ask me to om you it.

This is the other set, it's so cute with little wooden crumpets and jam!

Morning, I decided to order the wooden Nativity science from Tesco. The kids will like playing with it.

i was thinking the same thing but wasn't sure how big each figure would be as its just what i've been looking for. will await a review :D

ppfftt. no kids book box sets in Mr T.
they had 3 shelves of christmas stuff (food) all the rest was bare and the shop was a huge chaotic mess of trollys and stock.

    you'd think a 24h store could re-merchandise at 2am when they're pretty quiet wouldn't you. :mad::mad:
spent the whole time manourvering my buggy around staff who apparently own the aisles (just stepping out - standing right where you want to get to etc).

Lol i couldn't knit before the beginning of 2010 lol i made it my news years resolution to learn a new hobby.. so with the help of youtube, ravelry and various other bits online i taught myself and now can make my own patterns up like the elf bag.. Love making childrens toys mostly though.

Well I think you should set up a website and start selling them :D I'll be your very first customer! With the power of MSE and all the other elfer's around since it became popular I think you'd get quite a fair few orders!
I can only imagine all the other lovely things you could make for peoples elves etc, Have you ever knitted an actual elf? I think a knitted one would be lovely, especially for smaller children.
Oooo I am jealous of your knitting skills :rotfl:
    Hello,
I have been pretty absent for a while but I just nipped on to tell you that my M&P's Crumble sack arrived in the store for collection today - Just when I was about to phone them and chase it up! So anyone else waiting for theirs should receive them shortly :)
I will post a pic if you like later, hope everyone is well. I shall catch up over the next 2 days :)

:hello: I did wonder where you had disappeared too! How is everything going with bump? I know you mentioned last time you posted that you were having some slight complications? I hope everythings well anyway :)

I am feeling particularly festive today! I watched Planes, trains and auto mobiles last night in bed. I still laugh until I cry every time I watch Steve Martin's character do his big 'fu@king' (excuse to french) speech at the car rental lady :rotfl:.
If any of you haven't seen it, I strongly recommend you do. It's not your typical christmas movie but it is very good and any movie with John Candy in is always worth a watch in my opinion.

I have a lovely Christmas peppermint bath bar, So tonight I'm going have a lovely long bath with it and then watch Jingle all the way. I thought about saving the bath bar until nearer to christmas but decided that no, I'm far to impatient to do that! Haha.
    Having a coke with you
is even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona

I wanted to be nosy and see what you'd bought, but computer says no! It's telling me the website has malware on it
It might be mine playing up, But on the off chance that it isn't I just wanted to tell people in case :o

    Hello!

Been busy this weekend discussing present ideas with DP and I'm off to Toys r us on weds to get the baby's main pressie. (I say baby, she's 18 months tomorrow) and my plan for today is to write my list for Xmas dinner and all the extras we like over Xmas week (DD1's birthday is NYE so it's a festive week)
I plan to buy 1 or 2 things a week to spread the cost and also stock up on extras things like loo roll and kitchen roll and toiletries so I 'should' only have to get the fresh stuff closer to the time and I won't blow my budget :)

Eep that's not good. I've used them before and the stuff arrived ok. It does say the things don't all come from the same place, so they may arrive at different times. But all my stuff arrived under the time they said it would.
Not sure about the malware thing, I'm using my iPad and the links clicked through ok. X

    those elfs are lovely msgigglewick.

FYI - anyone who was wondering (as I was and I think someone asked). Rudolph (the 1964 one that the board game is based on). and Rudolph and the island of misfit toys (the 2004 one) are DIFFERENT films but have the same characters. --- at least the beginnings which is all i've watched so far are completly different.
