rosygirl - So sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you. I lost my Dad very unexpectedly in an accident at the end of July. It's exceptionally hard to lose a parent and especially so suddenly. Please take one day at a time and be kind to yourself.

Well todays shopping went well. Managed to finish my Halloween and Bonfire party shopping off - all at the cheapy shops - poundland, B&M, Home Bargains and Wilko. Also got the last 3 bars of 50p Galaxy in Wilko's to do the sleighs with, got some candy canes from Home Bargains I think they were 79p for 8. Got hubby a pair of Star Wars boxers and also got 2 wind up torches for my Mum and Brother's car safety hampers.

Just order Mollie Makes Christmas from the book people too.

Order Mum's wellies and a Radley mug for her stocking whilst they have free delivery.

    HTH

Thanks, If I can't find one closer I shall be getting the bus all the way there to get one, I refuse to not get one :p

Starsquishy that sounds fantastic :) Damsel In Distress I can take a look in Farnworth Home Bargains in the week if you want me to. Oh dear Own My Own, I am so glad there was a happy ending. But i have to say I love snow too, although my OH doesn't like it all at lol

I didn't even know there was a Home Bargains in farnworth! It isn't somewhere I go a lot to be honest even though it isn't that far away, I have a small home bargains near me, but it really is very tiny and doesnt sell a lot of the bigger better stuff the others do. If you see one there please do let me know :) Ill make the trip there instead as it's only a 20 min bus journey.:)

msgigglewick - that elf bag is lovely. I wish I could knit! I've wanted to learn for years, my mother used to knit and she tried to show me once or twice, It quickly became apparent that I don't have the talent or patience! :rotfl:

Rosygirl - So sorry about your mum.

I having nothing to report on the xmas front apart from a 3 pack of old style santa christmas tree decorations I bought from poundland! Haha!
They're starting to get loads more stuff out now compared to how it was a few weeks back, I would of loved to of had a proper browse but my supposed 'friend' was nagging at me for apparently 'touching all the christmas things in sight' :rotfl:
    Having a coke with you
is even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona

Thinking of you Rosygirl at this very sad time.

I don't know what seems to have happened to my Christmas planning! I thought I was doing so well till about July then suddenly it's October . Argh damn that boy of mine not only did he move to Australia leaving me broken hearted but I lost two months too!!!

Must consult my lists again tomorrow and make a plan. And start the crafty things I love to do. Might have to ration the time I spend on this forum and the hours I loose on Pintrest :) Till I'm back on track. X
    The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do

I'm off to tesco today for the weekly shop (instead of Asda). Yup tis £3 travel costs whereas Asda is on the doorstep but am hoping to get a couple of packs of the famous 5 books and something for younger children + some tims of sweets (are they still £4 or have they gone up now?) for the adults.

eta: booo looking online they are back up to £5.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Lol i couldn't knit before the beginning of 2010 lol i made it my news years resolution to learn a new hobby.. so with the help of youtube, ravelry and various other bits online i taught myself and now can make my own patterns up like the elf bag.. Love making childrens toys mostly though.

Got dd1 home today pretending shes sick.. silly girl has less than 6 months left at school but i don't have the energy to argue this morning.. was mean though and made her call the school to tell them why..
Found a few lil xmas dec patterns im going to make later.. thats as far as my xmas prep is going to take me today i think lol
