Just wrote it on the post above^^ not that much on the Christmas front but picked up 2 of the xmas throws mentioned on here & some xmas candles - they had xmas throws, hot water bottles, candles, pyjamas, socks and some tea towels/ oven gloves.. I went through the whole store in search of anything Christmasy like a mad person

Thought I could smell pine needles this morning! Made me think I'd really like a real tree this year (especailly as its my turn to have Xmas off this year, nursing) . Not very money saving though. I bought a fake one about 6 years ago for about £20 so I've really had my moneys worth out of it. Perhaps I could buy a real one this year and then get a good fake one in the sales after for the next 6 years!!!0

Superdrug has free delivery and 30-50% off certain christmas gifts, they have some lovely stuff and much cheaper than Boots! The Accessorize stuff is really cheap and lovely. Also The only way is essex sets if anyone knows anyone into that show.http://www.superdrug.com/christmas-2012/icat/christmas-2012/

Honestly I walk past the store 3 times a week, To save you the petrol and parking I don't mind buying it and sending it up to you - may even be able to discount the packing if I can wangle something in work0 -

If anyone can get 2 of these down to a sensible price I will be forever grateful. I have 2 little boys who I think whould happily give every toy they have back to santa to find them under the tree but cannot justify them at that price.
mothercare have them back in stock with 20% off making them £48 not a huge saving but the cheapest I've foundthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Talking of trees, I think we're going to get an artificial one this year. We've had real ones for aaaaages, and I LOVE them, but I feel increasingly guilty for being responsible for the killing of a tree every year! (Such a wuss.)
We'll only get a fake one if we can find a really nice, realistic looking one though. It will have to be pretty expensive, but even if it's £100 that's only 3 years' worth of real ones. (Ours was £35 last year, and they get more expensive every Christmas.)
So I guess a fake one is pretty MSE really. I will miss the pine smell, but can always get a nice Yankee candle to fix that.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -

A neighbours son came to the rescue and went to his first job an hour later and mended the oven... he's one of these who is rather sexist and said he'll explain whats up to the dh as i wouldn't understand
so i just nodded and agreed and he went on his way....
Im going to spend the afternoon sewing a blanket or sleeping bag not decided yet for the elves i've made.
Hope this weather lasts! the gardens need degrassing! lol but i won't go in the shed as its full of spiders shiver so can't get the lawn mower out until my dd2 comes home at 3.. wimp aren't i!
Very pleased you got the oven situation sorted. As bigger pain as all this stuff breaking on us is, Im glad its not and not Dec!moneysavingmumofone wrote: »Oh also I have just booked mine and my sisters Twilight seats thanks to my fabby stepdad! :j:j:j Luxury seats too as they were the same price, no numb bum this time hehe!

I cant imagine not getting a real tree. My parent got one every year when I was younger & still do. We got one last year 3 weeks before xmas & then was back at my parents for a week and then came back to it and the smell coming into the house was so worth it. The pine needles smell is one of the smells of christmas for me!!! :xmastree:0 -

I got the Christmas tree (thought it might be a bit pine loo cleaner but it is actually lovely) Winter Wonderland - beautiful, smells just like Christmas! sort of cool and crisp with a hint of fir tree, I will buy the jar one of this when Im paid! White Christmas is also lovely, and the Mandarin and Cranberry smells just like when you peel clementines at Christmas to me, really lovely!
Ive just read the Christmas mag and although some lovely bits and peices and some very nice decor ideas (by the way - lakeland, 24 x Advent tealights, all numbered, very cute! can't remember price but very reasonable) and a few nice recipes, I wouldnt buy it if personlly if I wanted something with help for planning, as they pretty much do everything in December! :rotfl:
Yeah another Christmas Tree Yankee Candle Fan.0
