Our oven broke on Christmas Day three years ago! Total nightmare!!

Talking of trees, I think we're going to get an artificial one this year. We've had real ones for aaaaages, and I LOVE them, but I feel increasingly guilty for being responsible for the killing of a tree every year! (Such a wuss.)

We'll only get a fake one if we can find a really nice, realistic looking one though. It will have to be pretty expensive, but even if it's £100 that's only 3 years' worth of real ones. (Ours was £35 last year, and they get more expensive every Christmas.)

So I guess a fake one is pretty MSE really. I will miss the pine smell, but can always get a nice Yankee candle to fix that. :)

We got a lovely fake one last year in b & q for £75 it's very realistic with different types of branch effects Hth
  • well, what started out as a horrible day (argument with dh first thing, and then a really long, stressfull day at work) ended really well! Left dd's with dh so i could pop to tesco for a bottle of rose (trust me, i need it tonight!). And what should greet me above the newstand but a whole rack of xmas mags! I think there were 6 or 7 in total! i limited myself to two, the christmas mag & crafting & christmas! yipee, they also had xmas cards out, and to top it off they had the large two tier moshi monster filled stationary case reduced from £10 down to £4!!! youngest dd will be thrilled! just going to have a quick catch up on todays posts, then time for a bath, pjs, glass of rose, light my glade spiced apple candle & read my magazines! Its beginning to look quite a bit like christmas! :rudolf:
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • The Rapid in Liverpool has the Christmas floor open!! Yipee!! 598855_4797448018801_1717440119_n.jpg

 I will keep my fingers crossed everyone has disaster free christmasses this year! Worst Ive had is getting in at 10pm christmas eve one year and the electric had gone lol, OH had to go out and search for a garage that was open. And a few years ago I had really bad flu, I could barely stand and being typically disorganised I still had gift baskets to wrap etc! I did the best I could but my sisters ended up being a complete botch job with wrapping paper instead of cellophane, literally just scrunching the paper any old way and sticking sellotape randomly on it. :o Luckily she was only 13 and didnt really care lol!

    Hi everyone

Had some very productive days. finally got 2 disney biscuit tins from the pound shop, very happy. Also popped into the disney shop, no advent calenders out yet but Oh my god I really really want this http://www.disneystore.co.uk/disney-store-official-site-for-disney-merchandise-christmas-fleece-blanket/mp/51003/1000322/?D=blanket&Nr=pPublished%3A1&Ntk=All_Shopping&Nu=pProductID&Ntt=blanket&Dr=pPublished%3A1&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial, if you look at the second pic you can see it all bundled up, problem is ive already got a prmani one and at £18 it aint cheap but when you see it in the flesh it is beautiful, oh dear ive got a major case of the wanties.

Got 3 more pressies out the way from the Matalan sale, Moshi monsters pj's half price for £4 and there really nice quality. Decorations out in primani so going to pick a few up on Saturday.
