also need to get ds2 a stocking (he had a babys first stocking last year), waiting for M+S to bring theirs out as this is where the other twos are from!
when dh and i first got together we decided to decorate each others stockings. we bought a couple of cheapo felty stockings and some glitter glue...
the result was quite good that first year (and as we did them secretly was quite fun to reveal them to each other) , but after been stored and hung over a fire, 8 years later they are quite mank :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
the white bit is yellowing and they are getting thinner and thinner each year.
id love to replace them but dh wont allow them to go :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:he says there a part of christmas now!Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -
Hi fellow Xmas lovers! doing ok onthe present front, finished one of my neices and almost the other (still got their xmas eve boxes to do mind)
I always buy my bro a pair of converse from Schuh, ususally around £40,and just picked up a pair off amazon for £19!!! bargain!
Can i just ask, as ive got his trainers so cheap, in my head im thinking great, i can get him £20 of something else to, then it got me thinking, do you spend the same amount and give more or do you use the RRP.
I have always got the bargains, but still made sure i spent the same amount (meaning they get better or more gifts) im not rly sure if thats very money saving or not!
I go on what it would have cost me full price - after all, they won't know when I bought it or if I had an offer code, glitch, 3 for 2 etc, so if it were me that would be a £40 present regardless of what I paidthats just how I do it anyway
Like the Reindeer Adoption, £3+ when we got it but if they were to go and look online at it the RRP is £20, so as far as I'm concerned Ive given a £20 gift
mind you, I wouldnt have bought it if it was £20, so they way I see it everyone wins, I get to look after my pennies and little boy next door gets a lovely (£20!) present!0 -

We have this tree, is it naked ?
Not sure if we will use it this year.Ds hates it.
Every time he walks in the lounge he say 'I hate that tree.'
I sigh 'You hated the big green tree.'
'I hate that one more !' he replies.:rotfl:Everyone on here is such a bad influence, I need yankee candles, a fur tree, advent calendar, a 'naked' tree....:D
sugaJen-My OH loves Dog the bounty hunter, (is watching it now lol) I love that episode too its sooo christmassy.
DamzelInDistress-Course Ill let you know, what size is your DS? My DS is older boys sizes so will look in littlies section too if your DS is smaller.Yay at selling one of the sets.
kemo_2002-Id just give him the shoes. They're a fab present on their own.
Not christmas but I just found out that Twilight tickets are on sale already so Im on a frantic facebook selling mission tonight. Theres only a few 'luxury' seats left (same price as normal seats) so I need to earn £30 to nab them tomorrow hehe.'They only had one cow!'0 -
Hi all
I managed to get some cookies from poundland, one was micky and the other cars themed. So they added to the little peoples hampers. I didn't find the themed boxes there though.
Could anyone tell me if they have seen any kiddies xmas PJs in primark? Need them to finish off the hampers.
Also managed to get a shamballa style necklace, bracelet and ear-ring set on the cheap from ebay so that another pressie sorted.
All this talk of Yankee candles in smells I've never heard before have me intrigued. I may have to buy some and its all of your faults :P
I'm sure, I'm really sure I hear reindeer bells at work the other day and the inner me got very excited. No idea who in work would have bells, but made me happy
Oooo and I'm going to start Mini Christmas cakes next week. Yummy Christmas cake smells mmmmm :snow_grin:xmassmile:rudolf::rudolf: :xmassmile0 -

i got my LO some lovely traditional 'button down jacket'/trousers type PJs in primark the weekend before last. one pair of pale blue striped ones (in the baby range, 18-24m) and some very bright green dinosaur ones from the bigger boys range (2-3y, but had them up to at least 11y). lots of onesies too. even more range for the girls by the look of things! the baby ones were £3.50, the boys ones £4. hth!0 -

Thanks
DS isn't that old, but I need clothes for him that are around age 8-9! It's a shame really because they do make christmas clothes for small children, which he is, but with him being so tall he doesn't fit in them. His dad is 6'5, and 5'8 so the poor kid never had a chance of being a regular size :rotfl:
Makes it awkward with jeans and school pants etc, as i always have to find ones with adjustable waists or tracksuit bottom type waists. All his pj's now are size 8-9.
I find primark sizes come up small in the kids section anyway, and they shrink when washed as well. When he was 4 i had to get him a size 7 onsie and it only lasted about 2 months before it had shrunk in the wash and he had grown even more!
I'll keep my eye out as well and let you know if i see anything
I'm sooooo jealous of you getting twilight tickets! I can't wait to see it, but I will have to wait until it's actually out and see if i can afford it.
I've watched all the others the night they came out, So I'll be gutted this year if I'm not first in the cinema line with my fist shoved in my mouth out of excitement.:rotfl:Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona0 -
