I'm glad you've reinstated it savvy thank you. I too think that there is room for this different type of thread. This is chatty, excitement sharing with like minded giddy for Christmas people.
I also follow the other Christmas threads:) I follow on the OS board too- I subscribe to the flylady thread and there are similar threads decluttering, messy house etc etc but we don't get confused do we.
Variety is the spice of life.

Chirpychick and Mr CC congratulations:) what wonderful happy news and an advert baby too. How really exciting:) Keep popping in let us know how you are all doing. Our DGD1 was born 26th November she will be three this year and Christmas started the day after her first birthday:) However her little cousin DGD2 arrived 20th December the following year she really is a Christmas baby:) We will have to make sure you are all organised early enough to enjoy it.

Thank you Gleek I'm really enjoying the thread :)

    Christmas 2012 here we come:)

I'm so impressed with the early Santa deliveries. And Gleek that sneaky peek into your bedroom made me smile:)
Storage is a big problem in my house too. I've got a built in cupboard that I've started to fill with my goodies (squirrelling) I've got hampers etc planned but have nowhere to spread out:( We have regular visits from our DGDs (thankfully) so everything has to be well hidden! Wrapping especially took so much longer than expected last year(love it though sat surrounded by presents, wrapping paper, ribbons etc listening to Christmas song) it was a slight downfall in my organisation which I hope to sort this year!

Hiya Susan42 we must've been typing at the same time:)

Oh yes jingle all the way- u'd get a funny look on here if you weren't Christmas obsessed. I love your survival kits by the way it's given me a few ideas I'll let you know if I turn them into anything!
Just seen on another thread some baskets reducing in Asda brill for hampers if any bodies interested. They've got little plastic boxes too the ones that the lovelies on the craft thread used as retro sweet boxes 6x£10.

Love Christmas :xmastree::xmastree::xmastree:and tend to start buying early, mostly stocking fillers for my little ones. But not really organised, though.

Have ordered Good Food:101 Christmas Dishes for £2.49 and Christmas Miniatures for £2.97 ex Amazon so they may inspire me this year!

Look forward to following this thread.

Okay so this thread has already caused some confusion which prompted me to merge it, then revisit, so I've reinstated in it's own right again however it is confusing for others and newbies as there's bits of other similar threads entwined in it as such. So maybe Gleek you could make your first post a bit clearer at the start that it is just Christmas 'musings' or something, and that Christmas Crafts, Thrifty Savers and Organisation threads are elsewhere? :undecided

I've edited the first post and changed the title, hope that helps :)

May Day, not Christmas Day. Boo :p

I love this forum and I do read and post on the other threads, however they are focused on other Christmas themes like the crafts and being money neutral etc and whilst I love that and post, I want to natter away without getting in the way of those who don't dare think about it until Winter so thought a seperate chatter thread was needed instead of lots of others that I wanted to start from as early on as January :o

I totally agree Gleek. Welcome on board CountingPennies:) The excitement is mounting. Think that makes it obvious that there was a real neeeed for a chatty thread:)
