It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do

Buddy Hell.
Had planned on going into town this morning with Dd, to look at Christmas bits (books in whs etc).
Now she has just ' come on ' and is in bed.
I know it is not her fault, she does have terrible pain for the first 24 hr, but I'm gutted .
Bless her , she did say to go without her , but I can't leave her.
At least we have the Christmas movies this afternoon.
Just no pop corn to eat while watching them .:(
I think you should POP out and get some :rotfl:
She will love it and you have to have munchies for watching Christmas films
I'm doing ok presents wise, and advent wise but I have just thought lots of my little advent bits have come in a cellophane bag and I want to wrap them singularly is this roll of Cello a good price?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00270J8ZE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=A1SPPO97NFGF28
also can anyone make heads or tails on whether I'll have to pay postage, because in the description it says free P&P but in the basket it says plus £1.95 postage
Also what was the flower site that everyone uses for cellophane?
I need to get into wrapping gear I wanna be done before December :T
Welcome newbies, I'll share some ideas later when I've gone through everything again and allocated new arrivals0 -
Just popped down to Mr T and picked one up, the £4 one they have is the plastic tub similar to the one above but it is red and blue and doesnt have 'Christmas Selection' on it (though use by Nov 13) it has (I think - have left it in the boot of the car til kids in bed or they will spot it!) 24 x bags but not sure what size, will check it later when I bring it in
The yellow tin is the Swizzels one which is £10, sorry for confusion!!0 -
Oh bless him!
I just need to say, I'm on this thread about 20 times a day, I dont post alot but I love all your ideas and stories. I dont have a big family or a huge friendship circle. I buy for my 4 kids, (Im a single mum) my sis and my bro (hes just 16, i'm 31) my mum and stepdad, my friend and her 2 kiddies and thats it. I lost my dad 3 years ago last new year, and just recently I realised the last time I saw him conscious was christmas day 2008. I spoke to him on the phone on NYE when he was taken ill with a triple A, which he didn't recover from due to other medical problems he had. I do have a Leukemia star tree dec although its still in the packet!
I dont mean to put a downer on things I just wanted to let you all know that you make me feel even more cheerful than I used to, I miss my dad all the time but even more so at xmas, new year time BUT this year....the elf is coming (thanks to this thread) and it would be nice if i could think of a nice name for him that includes Phil or Philip??
am so sorry about your dad SugaJen, of course you arent putting a downer on things! it's important to remember that as well as being a magical time or year, it's also a time to remember those we have lost, I miss my FIL so much at Christmas as we all used to gather at their place and have an amazing time, he made it so special especially when the children were tiny, so I do understand how you are feeling - he was like a dad to me and a wonderful dad and grandpa. If you want to chat about your dad we are very happy to listen and to be here for you xxxx
Will have a name think!0 -
