does anyone know if i pre mix white/black Russian and decant into small bottles whether it will keep until christmas ?

It is best not to, a white russian contains dairy products so has a short shelf life and a black russian has cola so would lose it's fizz. You could always do a cocktail kit instead or if you want to give them to people you could make them up on the day or night before and keep them refrigerated?
    Comping wishlist for 2017
    1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuff

love this thread and all the like minded lovely people! :)

started in January with the Boots 75% off sale and bought some lovely gift sets that will keep well in my cool dark understairs cupboard! plus some cute bits for DD's stocking like funky flask, stationary etc - also bought James Bond complete DVD set in sale on Amazon after Chrsitmas for my DS. Hawkins Bazaar had a 4 for £10 sale in January and got some fab bits for everyone, and got 75% off the pink fluffy snorting/walking pigs piggy banks which are so cute! for DD and her cousins. Fantastic Hello Kitty dressing gowns at £5 from M&S (they always have fantastic after new year online sales, books and bits and pieces for stocking at about 50p) -and then came the Body Shop!

If it helps anyone, at present Body Shop have the Cranberry Joy Hand Cream for £1, the big Cranberry Body Butter £3 and Cranberry Hand Wash £2.50 - you can get another 20% off these as LYB discount (code on their homepage) and free p+p over £15. It makes the hand cream 80p! I also got hand creams for this price in January along with the matching tins of lip balm, now bought a roll of pink cellophane and ribbon and am going to make up gift packs with hand cream and lip balm, or hand cream and hand wash and make them nice with the cellophane, hopefully will make a lovely little gift for teachers, friends, DD's friends and neighbours. Body Shop bring this range out again for Christmas each year and it's lovely - and keeps really well in cool dark cupboard - hope that helps somebody wanting a nice little gift idea for low price :)

doing well with M&S vouchers for Christmas food, with vouchers from surveys :)

the more of this thread Ive read, the happier I am! :) my (sorry just a liiiiittle bit miserable!) Mother always insists Im crazy and Christmas 'is for children', but I get so excited, am just so happy it isnt just me! !!

my 2 are 12 and 14 now but still just as excited, we put the tree and all the decs up the last day of November (if we can wait that long!) last year I bought the advent chest of drawers from the Disney Shop (usually use the string of stockings) which has lots of room in each drawer, I fill them with little Lindt reindeers, little bits from Thorntons, choccy coins etc, they love to open it when they get in from school :)

One thing we always do on Christmas eve is have Norad Tracks Santa up on the pc so we can see where he is delivering, right up to bed time (always feel sad the next morning when it says hes all done for the year and come back next year! - am I really really sad??!)

We got to M&S and choose all the Christmas food for our Christmas Eve buffet, we have a lovely party food, hubby and I have champagne and we all watch Polar Express, Fred Claus etc (we have so many there is usually an argument over what we can squeeze in!!) and the kids always have new pyjamas on Christmas Eve and hang up their stockings on the fireplace and put out wine and mince pies - DD gave me a big grin and thumbs up last year, they are nearly grown up but really they love to be kids at Christmas, clearly get it from me! :)

we've done all these things since they were babies, and when I hear them talking about it all and looking forward to it it makes it even better, so those of you (you lucky people!) with toddlers, young kids and Believers, it is still as brilliant when they are older too, my 12 year old helped me cook Christmas dinner last year!

chirpychick, so pleased to hear about your bundle of joy! such great news, I hope you are feeling well, first Christmas with a little one in a reindeer sleepsuit staring unblinkingly at the twinkly lights is just amazing! I have a fab photo of my DS wearing reindeer antlers and very little else but an enraged expression, in a door bouncer on his first Christmas Eve!

The black russia - id pre mis the coffee liquer and the vodka, then put a coupke of small size can with it, so you can add to the label mix with coke.

for the white russia, so the base mix then create a label saying add cream to me,

One xmas mum was drinking black russia bu the glassful as it was her 1st xmas off work for 12 yrs but she forget to add the coke to it! x

Isn't it made with cream? I haven't tried but I'd be inclined to wait until nearer xmas perhaps.

Yes it is scary he only turns four a week before school starts. The little one will be the same as he is August baby too. So really looking forward more to Xmas this year with a 4 year old and a 1 year old by then. If baby doesnt pull the tree down as he is already a little menace!!

Didn't realise you could get cellophane on amazon I need some for my friends birthday hamper so il have a loom there too x
