3 hours of shopping and I'm really pleased with the results.
My kids are desperate for Ipad - like that will happen :rotfl:. Their friend have them but they can't seem to grasp the fact that due to their learning difficulties for them having an ipad is quite pointless. So, I have been looking at kids tablets and decided that I would love to get them the leapster innotab 2 but at £90 that blew my £75 budget. However I was able to use the Argos 342 deal and basically got one free
:D:j:j:money:. So that worked out as £60 with £15 left to buy the games.
I'm going to look on argos online for the rest of their gifts. Most of ours are now done but all my extended family expect us to chose the boys presents, buy them and wrap them so they can take the credit for them on the big day

noodles86 I have been anaemic and felt rubbish from 9-27 weeks the midwife finally suggested I take Spatone when she realised I hadn't been able to function at all. Unfortunately you have to pay for it yourself which is £6 on Amazon but I took it and by day 2 I felt amazingly better - I now am borderline but continue with the Spatone which your body accepts better than tablets (which would be free) and I have felt so much better ever since. It is so worth the £6.
The midwife also told me to continue taking it for a few weeks after the birth of baby as it will help perk me up then too.
I definitely feel for you, I felt like nobody was understanding me at all because I was exhausted and the first time I said it to the midwife her and her colleague laughed and told me to get used to it, id never feel human again for the next 18 years - i was getting so upset about it. But just a few days of spatone and i felt almost 100% - i may have even had that "bloom" it is rumoured pregnant women get if i had been taking it sooner
Kayandy you should do what feels right for you, don't be pressured into doing anything you aren't ready for.
I got married at 21 and I don't regret it for a second me and my OH had only been together 18 months and if it's possible im even more crazy about the mad fool now 6 years later but I do think I matured a lot between 21 and 25 and if I were to do it again I think I would have waited a few years, so for what it's worth I think you are being very wise.

pick and choose for relevant age range
bubble bath
flannel or sponge
hot chocolate (aka snowman soup)
tooth brush
christmas book
slippers
chocolate/popcorn
(idea being have a bubble bath, watch a film with some goodies,
brush their teeth, have a story and go to bed relaxed to give mum and dad some
time and peaceto wrap presents)
a snuggle christmas fleece
a new mug for the hot chocolate
a christmas teddy like a reindeer or something
reindeer food (the glittery kind)
reindeer poop
*******************
I went to bed at 12 ish (maybe earlier i don't remember) woke up at 3.30  couldnt get back to sleep until 8.30  at 7am I made DH bring me hot chocolate and whilst I was drinking that I was listening to Christmas music - he just laughed and said I must be feeling a bit better if i was jiggling to christmas music
I am feeling a bit better but wish this awful cold would go away!
I have my flu jab tomorrow and lunch out with the inlaws for DH's birthday. We have quite a few fun things planned next week and I don't want to ruin it by being ill (I have had this for a week now!)
Also for those in their 3rd trimester like me there was something on the news about having the whooping cough vaccine because it immunes the baby for 3 months after the birth and there is an outbreak.
I will enquire about mine tomorrow, just thought id share as id not heard about it.
Oh and also I have decided I am going to buy 2 Christmas WW books off amazon (I don't do ww but like the recipes) when I get my next voucher and im going to keep our Christmas as healthy as possible which means no big boxes of chocolate or tins of biscuits.
I will let DH have his Hotel Chocolat and will do this kit kat thing I wanted to do and then use vistaprint to make myself an elves mugand get him to fill it with elves for me and a box of festive friends but that is all!!!
I may make us a Christmas fruit hamper and fill it with fruits we can't normally justify buying.
I am 100% not going to give in to the tins DO YOU HEAR ME LOL!!!! slap with with a mackeral or some other vile fish if i failEverything is always better after a cup of tea0 -

Oh I just thought about some colouring books or Xmas activity books with pencils or chunky crayons0 -
Went to Tescos today and bought a tin of Celebrations and Heroes.
My children have lovely fabric advent calanders that have a little pocket for each day, just the right size for putting one of the chocs in.
When I first started doing this about 5 years ago, after filling the calanders, there would be loads of chocs left for Hubby and I, but because they have decreased the weight we do not get so many now:(
Me and DH have fabric advent calendars and I've just bought a tim of heroes from Mr Ts today for them.Am i the only one who when logging into this thread always starts humming 'oh the weather outside is frightful' due to the name of the thread?
My OH always glares at me when i sing 'let it snow let it snow let it snooooooow' out loud numerous times a day
I just sing it in my head
Some of my foam has arrived for us to make a snowman fridge! Also bought a scarf from poundland which is flimsy enough to be held on my magnets! Right gonna catch up with the rest of the thread now!
A snowman fridge ?!?!?!?!!?!?:eek:0 -
