  • Hi everyone! Lovely to see a Christmas thread, was looking and I found you all! Excellent....

My DH doesn't understand my obsession with being organised with xmas pressies etc, so I'm pleased to be around like minds.

Welcome lemonade money it's lovely to find like minded people isn't it :snow_grin

My oh definitely dosent get it but I think he should be grateful that come December I won't be dragging him around the shops full of harassed people who have left it all to the last minute !! We will hopefully be enjoying the nice parts of the christmas holidays ie mugs of hot choc by the fire , watching Xmas films , going for snowy ( hopefully ) walks with the dog , watching the lights being turned on etc :xmastree:
  • Of to M&S to get advent calendars this morning!

ooooo! are they on the website yet?? will go look, theirs are always lovely!
  • Went to Tescos today and bought a tin of Celebrations and Heroes.
My children have lovely fabric advent calanders that have a little pocket for each day, just the right size for putting one of the chocs in.
When I first started doing this about 5 years ago, after filling the calanders, there would be loads of chocs left for Hubby and I, but because they have decreased the weight we do not get so many now:(
  • Am i the only one who when logging into this thread always starts humming 'oh the weather outside is frightful' due to the name of the thread?

  • ah - and i am a pregnant lady too :D but not due until march. already had my christmas baby - 17th Dec 2010 :o
  • Oh Dear Lord - remind me not to miss more than a day - it's going to take me most of tonight to catch up.

Well I managed to get a Tinkerbell CD for DD2 last night on Ebay and paid just £1.20 P&P so I was happy with that. Got 2 tins of sweets from Tesco for £4.00 each. One I'm going to use for DD2's goody bags at her party next Sunday. I've bought all the children's presents now in the Argos 3 for 2 offer. Unfortunately I left one present on the table in the Study and guess who found it this morning!!!! Thankfully it's her birthday on Tuesday so I will give it to her then and keep one of her birthday presents for Xmas. Then went to Disney Shop this morning as they have a lot of stuff reduced and bought the rest of their presents. I've got the Boots night next month and the rest of the family to do now. And I bought my first Xmas magazine this morning :j
