Well I managed to get a Tinkerbell CD for DD2 last night on Ebay and paid just £1.20 P&P so I was happy with that. Got 2 tins of sweets from Tesco for £4.00 each. One I'm going to use for DD2's goody bags at her party next Sunday. I've bought all the children's presents now in the Argos 3 for 2 offer. Unfortunately I left one present on the table in the Study and guess who found it this morning!!!! Thankfully it's her birthday on Tuesday so I will give it to her then and keep one of her birthday presents for Xmas. Then went to Disney Shop this morning as they have a lot of stuff reduced and bought the rest of their presents. I've got the Boots night next month and the rest of the family to do now. And I bought my first Xmas magazine this morning :j
Oooooo which Xmas mag did you get ? didn't realise they were out yet :j0 -
how do you go about returning an item if faulty, i bought some toys in argos 3 for 2, but if for any reason they didnt work xmas day, will i still be able to return them 3 months later??
Most shops have an extended gaurantee period up to and over christmas.
Next time you are in town pop in with receipt, and check. But I would think you would be fine . I expect hundreds of Christmas gifts have been purchased this week.0 -
*wants to know that too*!
(about the mag I mean!)
congrats to everyone who is pregnant that I hadnt realised, its wonderful! but Im soooo broody, I used to love buying the Christmas sleepsuits!

I kind of understand where she's coming from. Our stockings usually don't get fully emptied til we're putting all the decs away. Maybe she can stuff eveything back in her stocking and keep it in her room to unpack at her leisure.mrsgreenwood wrote: »thanks for sharing this! i love the idea of filling clear baubles with sweets to give to the children in our family.
id like to give this ago and write or somehow get their names on the bauble.
does anyone have any ideas whats best to use?
thanks!!!:)
Probably lots of people have suggested glitter glue by now, but theat's my suggestion. Or maybe those stick on letters you can buy?chirpychick wrote: »I have had this idea (and I can't find any photos of it to add to Pinterest lol) but if I can find a Mars Bar Mug then fill it with some snack size Mars Bars and 1 or 2 bigger mars bars and the wrap in cello and tie with ribbon this would make a lovely gift for my FIL.
He isn't allowed much chocolate but does love a treat now and again and would be over the moon with something like this, also my hubby with kit kat chunky and other various family members, I may do them for Birthdays next year or Christmas as small token presents.
MIL however only really likes nutty chocolate like fruit and nut and picnics so I couldnt decide what mug to go with that as they don't do one for those specific brands I thought maybe just dairy milk and filling with dairy milk fruit and nut? would that work? Might even do them as little extra gifts this Christmas (I really want to) but only if I can find the mugs on freegle or carboots. I have seen a roses mug which would be great for my nan too, filled with roses and i feel like i should get her something extra as she has just booked travel lodge for 2 nights when the baby is born so will be travelling miles and has brought lots of bits for the baby. I have asked on freegle if anyone has any mugs and am going to go carbooting sunday I hope I find someanyway I just thought I'd share the idea because if you brought the mug at a carboot for a max of £1 and then filled with chocs the absolute max you would spend would be £5 but for example often kitkat chunkys are 4 for £1 in Morrisons so it could actually be done for as little as £2 would make a great secret santa gift or stocking filler.
What about using a Christmas mug rather than a specific choc brand mug? Last year I made mugs out of cardboard to display chocs, biscuits and hot chocolate...0 -

I never throw mine away, so have a stockpile of old ones to keep me going until the new ones come out :xmastree:0 -
I love the M&S Christmas magazine, always look forward to that end of October, and the Jamie Oliver one - always love seeing the articles with the kids all dressed up making hot chocolate and baking, so Christmassy!0

Your like me - I've got last years and the year before that. I'm hoping I can make one of the wreaths that I saw in one years ago but have never had time to make. Hopefully now I'm a bit organised I may get around to making it.0 -
