Another day another drama in our house, no only joking but a bit of a random one. DD had a carol service at school today and they walked to the local church. Now I know (because dd has rainbows there) that they have had under pew heating put in for this winter and there is warnings about the pipes getting hot. Any hoo (I didnt even know they were going to church today) dd comes home and says she has a burn on the back of her ankle from the pipes, ive had a look and she does (and she is saying it hurts). Do I say anything to the school, bearing in mind tomorrow is the last day of term, last day before we move house so last day at that school or should I leave it? I feel I should say 'something' but no idea what!!Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:0

I think you should mention it to the school because if they are going to take other children to the church in future they will know to warn the children to be careful. If the heating has only just been put in they may not know there is a possible problem. If they did know and didn't warn or supervise the children they need to review their procedures to ensure it doesn't happen again.0 -
Best friend coming over later and she's going to help me wrap! Am hoping that Chinese meal and bottle of wine is going to help!
Noodles86 - I would say something. They need to be aware of the problem at the school. Hope it heals soon x2015 £2 Saver #82

Noodle, just have a quiet polite word to the teacher about it. Stress that you just want to make them aware of the pipe hazard.

Good morning all elves!
Sorry for what may seem an obvious question to those in the know - but where do you see / post birthdays? I don't know where to look
Thanks in advance, have a merry day everyone x
There isn't a list yet, but if everyone would like to post their birthday i will make one and add it to the next thread.
Nanamia would like one as she missed 2 birthdays last week.Buffy_the_Vampire_Bat wrote: »Mr Buffy is being sent to Morrisons for a few bits tomorrow night and then that should be it until after Christmas.
Our Morrisons are staying open until 10 this week instead of 8. It is very quiet as nobody seems to know.Hi all,
Am going to have to brave late night shopping tonight - I don't like busy shopping centres, I get a bit claustrophobicWish me luck! Keep telling myself if I get it all sorted I can come home, curl up with a glass of baileys and watch one of my xmas movies :rotfl:
Good Luck. I also suffer with claustrophobia, and find shopping in December quite stressful.0 -

Thank you to all, will just 'mention' that it happened so I feel better :rotfl:
Feisty I will swap you for a huge pile of ironingDH work is manic so I am getting nothing other than basic housework done with Mali being 6 weeks and still a little demanding!

I think I will keep my wrapping
Hair is dyed, not sure if I will have time to get it cut before XmasNot happy as my fringe is doing it's best dulux dog impersonation, I'm almost blind! :rotfl:
We will officially have no car over XmasCable got delayed in the Christmas post and as MOT runs out tomorrow, will not have enough time to get it fixed, put through MOT, fix things it fails on (it will fail, mine always do) and then put through MOT again, before everywhere closes for the festive season
Am a bit miffed, but am secretly happy as having no car means people can't expect me round etc - a nice festive week in front of the TV

4 presents wrapped tonight. :j
Only 6 more and 1 hamper to go.:j
Hamper cannot be wrapped until Sunday as it has cheese in it.
Lost ds' bottle of Joop. Me and dd hunted everywhere. I decided it had just gone and I would have to buy another bottle. Then dd found it wrapped on TOP of his other wrapped gifts. I really do not remember going it last night.:o
I think I dislike wrapping so much, I just turn off and go into alto pilot.
I just cannot put effort into something that is going to be ripped apart in a couple of days.0 -
