The organiser was very kind & gave me back my deposit, which to be honest I could really do with at the moment. Every penny helps & all that...:rotfl:
Don't feel guilty about having to be off work, though. If you're ill, take as much time as you need to get well. If you try & work, you'll feel poorly for longer.
thank you! Yes think Im just overthinking it (I always think managers are out for blood when youre not in, I was same at school never took a day off ill until I contracted chondromalasia at the age of 13) Im def off today but will probably go back tomorrow. the new tablets the doctor has given me are without a doubt INCREDIBLE!! Ive only taken 2 so far and already its breaking up the flem, I can swallow without wanting to cry and I actually got some sleep lastnight!! woohoo! Will still go to the christmas lunch a client has paid for us to go to but because of these tablets I just wont be going for department drinks that night, someone in work text me and suggested I just drink non alcoholic cocktails, Im not sure, I think working 8 hours will exhaust me enough although that might change before friday!I'm ridiculously overexcited for Christmas. I can see the snow falling now, and it's beautiful. It's a Wonderful Life, Elf, and The Muppets' Christmas Carol piled at the ready on top of the DVD player. Christmas spiced teas piled up in the caddy. Do your worst, winter. We, mankind, have thought up the perfect festival of warmth to combat you!
I really want snow, theres nothing here other than a lovely downpour of rain over the last few days! It was minus 1 when OH drove of to work though 30 mins ago, frost on the ground and took a good 10 mins to get the ice of the windscreen so Im just hoping thats a good sign, but watching the weather forecast theres no sign of it heading this wayI fear my Christmas spirit is leaving me. My darling cat Turbo has been missing for two days now. With this freezing weather we're having I'm frantic with worry. I'm clinging onto my festive cheer, but with all that this year has thrown at me, I'm finding it hard to hold onto at the moment.
Big hugs to all who need them. Could do with a massive one myself this morning xx
Thats awful, I hope he / she is ok and returns home safe, I cant imagine what you are going through our cat is a housecat and sometimes she tries to escape when we are carrying shopping in and I go into meltdown if she gets 4 steps into the garden! Just remember cats are smart creatures and hopefully she / he will be smart enough to find warmth and shelter.
Now quick question for everyone, Im actually very close to finishing the hampers this year but want large tags that I can wrap around them with a little poem Ive made up, its only 4 lines long but against the big hamper an average tag would look lost. Any ideas of where anyone has seen any? They need to be quite "adulty" so no kiddies snowmen ones if that makes sense. Its getting to the point I might have to make my own but when it comes to crafts Im rubbish, more of a baker lolLife is what you make it.0 -
IT'S SNOWING !!!!
School not opening until 10 due to the roads.
It is lovely to look at but I had a gift party booked today. Can't see anyone coming out if they don't have to. It is coming down quite heavily at the moment, beings at it wasn't predicted at all.
Will just have to see what happens. I am only going to take one of each thing with me, and take orders if anyone turns up. Don't fancy taking everything out with me for no reason.
JJ My neighbours cat went missing for over a week not long ago. It was at a house down the road. Because the lady fed it she kept going back there.0 -
Morning, it's till snowing here and I nine have at least 7 inches piled on top of my garden table, so it's pretty deep. The school doesn't open til 10am here either. I was meant to be working but the girl I was coverings course has been cancelled, so I'm now off til this evening.
Hope Turbo turns up JJ x
I'm still putting my dd into nursery so I can catch up with orders, tidy up a bit and have some time to my self x:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Sending you hugs! As a new cat owner (she's not quite 9 months old yet), I can imagine how frantic you must be. We haven't let Blossom outside yet.
Is Turbo microchipped? Have you contacted any vets in the area? Maybe knock on some neighbours doors & get them to check their sheds & garages. Do you know his/her routes when they go on a wander? Some cats venture quite a distance & he/she might have got lost if the roads look different(snow, roadworks?). If you're on Facebook or twitter, use those to your advantage & get people looking & telling their friends. Photos if you can, too! I'm sure s/he'll turn up soon.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Glad the new tablets are good. Being able to get some sleep will help you feel a lot better, too. See how you feel on Friday-It might be fun to be sober when everyone else is drinking. You can see just how silly they behave!
Had a tiny bit of snow here overnight. Enough for hubby to get tube to work instead of riding his motorbike, but it's gone from the garden already.
How about using a luggage tag as a label? You know those cardboard ones that the post office sell (& probably poundland too)? You could stick Christmas stickers or glitter on to make it more festive.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Snowy here too, and I think it caught everyone by surprise as the roads haven't been done! Ice all over the place. I'm in Essex, where is everyone else with or without snow?0 -

Morning all!!
Sorry for all my posts...Have no idea how to quote more then once in a post
Did anyone watch supers-*rimpers christmas special last night?
I dont know how i felt about last night's show, Because the people on their seemed to have no idea what the true meaning of christmas was, worst of all, They spent stupid amounts of money on stuff that they could have actually done as a family at well over half of their budgets. £70 for a christmas cake! Nearly fell off my sofa.
I dont confess to be the best at spending / saving money - Hence why im here on mse, But, Surly £XXX amount of money you can not afford tells you, Your going wrong somewhere!!Future goals:

Snow? Where? Not here that's for sure
Hugs to JJ - my cats sometimes wander off for a few days and hide out in the garages behind our house (usually because a dog or something else has frightened them) We've been dogsitting this weekend and Casper (who is scared of dogs espite dad's dog being the softest animal in the world) has been sleeping rough in a garage. He came home last night muddy black!
Off to see Nativity 2 tonight and tea at Pizza Hut beforehand, Hubby's gift in his advent calendar today. He was really chuffed but then said "I'm gonna have to up my game, I thought I was being generous putting two chocs behind a door!":rotfl:
Meeshpeesh - was the Alice idea that's in the top 50 yours too?0
