Mine just lost most of its sickly sweet smell so I slathered it on my feet before it got any worse. I didn't even bother cutting it open. Hurray! :j

UU's to report l'Oreal Touche Magique WNBA this has lasted a couple of years and lasted well did the job of covering up.

UU Umberto Giannini hair brightening plus elixir WNBA there are much better intensive treatments

UU bamford body wash 50ml WBA loved the smell of this!

UU Clinique bashful plum blusher WBA this has taken me years to UU. I had a no17 peaches and cream to replace it but way to shimmery for me so that's gone to DD's to fight over. So I have been and got a natural collection one and bought with points!

TA no7 black eyeliner, the lead so to speak fell out of the pencil as I think it's dried out.

In nip + fab no needle fix, bought with points. Wanted something to try and iron out my frown lines!

In OS black cherry and almond shower gel.

    Think that's it!

I think the foot cream idea is a winner - anything to shift it.

My bargain Arrid deodorant is now a UU. WBA as I liked it and worked well. Got it from HB for 59p.

Welcome all newbies and well done on finding one of the best threads on MSE.

Feeling sooo much better today and back pampering. My daughter came over with belated birthday gifts, no toiletries, but a useful scraper for use when baking etc, jewellery, wasabi peas (yum), wine, Vacuvin stoppers.... She went home with a pair of Crocs that were a shade tight on me, books, an art kit, boy's shorts, a large jewellery case and a pair of barely worn walking boots. I don't feel right if people leave my house empty handed!

I thought 'LBM' was Light Bulb Moment, that moment when the penny drops and you realise that really you have far too many toiletries, are throwing things out because they have gone off unused and yet you still succumb to special offers and need to try something new...

Re the Hand Food. Surely Boots should be told? There's obviously a problem with the formula.

To be fair, though, how long have many of us have had our Hand Foods in our stashes before we have used them? I used mine towards the end of last year and I had got it in the OOTW from Boots the Christmas previous, so it was the best part of a year old before I used it. For others, it was probably longer.

I'm not sure how long a product is supposed to 'last' in the container before it goes off? I'm not sure if there is even a rule. I just opened a TBS passion fruit body butter. It has the seal on from when it was purchased, and the smell had gone off. That really surprised me as I never expected that in a product that hadn't been opened and exposed to the air. Fair enough, I bought it at least two years ago, but where's the cut off point?!

I think the message is clear for us, ladies: if you have products over a certain age, UU or get rid, cos they ain't gonna last forever!

  • thanks for everyone's review about the SG hand food. I will avoid this product, and I totally agree that someone should write an email to SG and/or boots informing them of how easily it turns.

    Evening all

I have 2 tiny UU to report for the week (I'll never finish my stash at that rate!)

Sachet of L'Occitane brightening moisture cream - WNB, it had a nice light texture but I am sure it is hideously expensive

Burts Bees Milk and Honey body lotion - WBA, loved the smell of this! Its the first product I have liked out of the starter set I got in JL a couple of years ago, I'm so glad it was only trial size products.

I don't think Boots would take my Hand Food back, it has been in a pump dispenser on my kitchen windowsill for at least 2 years! Thinking about it now, it probably isn't the best place to keep a hand cream. Mine hasn't started to smell yet but it has gone suspiciously runny in the last few months.

I am hoping for a glut of UU this week, I have 3 cut open tubes and a bottle of conditioner upside down at the moment! Those are my focus for the week. I also sorted out my toiletries for my week in Arran at the beginning of June (10 days at work to go :j) I was very good and decanted into little empty bottles instead of starting new mini sized products. The perfect time to get rid of some of my S&G Clean on Me I think.

Have a good week everyone :D
