Think everyone's love affair with S & G is definitely dead and gone now - on this thread anyway!

Ha ha! They have some nice products, but they also have some blah products. They just seem too over-hyped.

I have an in and an out.

OUT - Lancome Galateis Douceur (cleanser). I wouldn't buy it again. It's perfectly nice, but it's just like any drugstore cleanser.

IN - Superdrug BB Cream. My skin is sooooo dry that I have never been able to wear foundation or even tinted moisturiser. I heard a girl with mega-dry skin praise this on YT so I had to try it. I tried it after moisturising and it has also worked better than anything I have ever tried before re: the dry skin which astonished me. The problem is that the colour is a little too dark for me (I got the lightest shade BTW). Why are BB creams so dark? The lightest shade of the Garnier one is also really dark. I suspect I will end up chucking it, but I will experiment a bit first.

Just had a massive clear out and threw away 23 open bottle/tubs/pots of body lotion/butter/cream.

I have such finicky skin (mega dry but won't absorb rich creams) and often only manage to use products once of twice before giving up on them. My plan was to use them all on my feet but have realised i only have two feet and they were just annoying me.

    Have also used up in the last few days;

SBC Collagen Body Wash - Love Love Love this - need to wait for a good QVC deal to stock up (i have too many other shower creams to justify buying at full price)

Treacle Moon Shower/Bath Gels in Coconut something an Lime and Ginger. Quite liked these despite the cheap price (about £3 ish from tesco). Will def repurchase the Lime Ginger one.

A green Aldi bubble bath - really like this despite again being pennies. Smelt really herby and nice. Bought it for my BF mainly (he baths to get clean i treat in like a spa expirience) but used it a couple of times myself.

Aldi face creams night and day- these have been relagated from my face to my feet. Everyone else raves about them but did nothing for me an have dried my skin on.

Mally TSV - they last one with foundation an cream blush. Sent it back as the foundation wen on ok but went really orange on my skin. Blush was nice and love the mascara but not worth it just for them.

Lots of ins - N Spa moisture mask and Facial Oil, bucket loads of nail polish (and Nails Inc AD drop any day soon), Jerome Alexander eyelash serum

Really need a new face cream though so on the hunt - my skin is really dry atm and none i have stashed are exciting me.

I have also started a blog; something i have been umming and arrhing about for ages and hopefully talking about products i use might make me realise how much i am spending.

In the spirit of getting started with the challenge I have had a sort out this morning and have TA the following:

Body Shop blue corn scrub mask - only 1 use left but have had enough of it and can see no improvement.

Avon naturals kiwi and lime shampoo - this range irritates my scalp

S&G Arch d truimph - this is rubbish, the highlighter is too thick to highlight and the brow pencil end has no effect at all, you have to really press on to get any colour.

Benefit benetint, almost empty and the last bit had gone cloudy where the brush had picked up foundation when I was using it. Love this stuff though.

Collection 2000 naturally radiant foundation - old
Collection 2000 perfect finish foundation - old
Avon ideal shade light makeup - old

Avon gillian dempsey lip and eye pencil - didn't like the colours and the eye bit creased in minutes.

S&G sexy mother pucker lip gloss in Apricot I think, hate the name of this and hate the product too, gloopy and sticky.

Body shop love etc body lotion - had separated

Have uu superdrug swiss apple serum, have 2 more in the stash then wnba as can't see any benefit from it although I do love the day cream.

    That's a start anyway.

    .
:T:T:T:T Well done dolly & amy. Sounds like you are both getting into the right mind set for the challenge.

I had a dentist appointment this afternoon and I am so sore now. I was told to expect some discomfort and sensitivity but it feels like my nerves have been jangled. The tooth getting the filling is my lower back wisdow and is right on the nerve. :(

I UU my Gucci Flora freebie - WNB as it isn't really my type of fragrance.

Also some good news - in my numbed state I called Sky and managed to get £15 a month knocked off my monthly bill with no loss of service :j

Beware the hand cream goes off really quickly. TBH I got sucked into the S&G hype from the Boots grabbit thread (remember that was a while ago!!) much prefer fcuk range. I do have lots of S&G left to use.

    I'm afraid I had some in's!

Boots are doing an instore offer at Clarins: Buy two products and get 1000 points and 3 products and a bag.

I had a £50 gift card from Supersavvyme and I bought
    Eye Revive Beauty Flash 20ml
    Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel 75ml

I got a bag and then these for free:
    Beauty Flash Balm 30ml
Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Comfort Cream 30ml
    Hydraquench Cream 30ml

I also had an ACM voucher for an extra 200 points when spending £20.

So I'm firmly in the naughty corner but quite pleased with my purchases!

Got the little Chanel lipgloss for free from Debs today too.

I seem to have developed a slight facial problem this morning, and very unsure what has caused it. Didn't noice anything wrong with my face first thing, only noticed it after applying foundation (used EL BB Cream sample and EL loose powder, both used before). It appears to be a very red patch along the top of one cheek then round the side of my eye. I have applied some concealer and its no longer noticable, its has since become quite sore and I'm at work now ahhh.

Not sure what casued it or what to do about it really, hope it goes down soon.

Ouch to you both. Hope you feel better soon.

I haven't posted for what feels like ages, but I have been reading and nodding along :p.

I had vowed not to buy any toiletries in May, but I am afraid I was scuppered by the new Liz Earle make-up. Not strictly toiletries, but I count make-up as well so my ins for May have been:

    50ml Liz Earle Conditioner
    LE Loose Powder
    LE Perfect Fix Concealer
    LE Cream Blush in Nude
    LE Precision Brush
LE Deep Cleansing Mask (freebie mini)

However I am determined that that will be all my ins for May (at least all my purchased ones).

Welcome to you and other newbies. Be sure to let us know what the LE make up is like. I can see how folks get caught up in the marketing of make up as like you've all said there are always limited edition/new collections popping up. Thankfully for me make up is not my thing. I've discovered Laura Geller and really like the way her colours suit me. There are other brands that I like but I don't get sucked into them the way that I do with skincare.
Here goes with my birthday INs:

    Lush
    Rock star soap
    Space girl bath ballistic

    Urban Decay
    Naked pallette:j
    Eyeshadow primer 3.7ml

    Clarins
    Eau des jardins 100ml
Eau des jardins shower gel 50ml
Eau des jardins smoothing body cream 50ml

Had a lovely time in Bicester - I bought some things in Crabtree & Evelyn and L'Occitane but some will be gifts so just in the process of deciding what to keep and use my birthday money on and what to put in the gift store.

    Happy belated birthday kiplingmonkey.
UU L'Occitane Verbena Showergel WBA Loved the smell of this and it has lasted well over a month so worth the money I think.

I am taking a bottle of this away with me on my hols in August.

I have 3 more UUS and an IN:-

    UUs:-

OPI Nail Envy - have the last of my bottle open now from the stash - yay I am Nail Envy graduate.

Ojon shampoo - I now only have a travel sized Aussie on the go - yay I am shampoo graduate (although admittedly my daughter Emma has her own mini stash of shampoo but I'll leave her to it and buy myself some at weekend).

Aussie travel sized conditioner - I now only have small Garnier conditioner that I got in with my last hair colourant - yay I am conditioner graduate.

To be fair I never really stashed any of these items a great deal. I ended up with a few bottles of Nail Envy due to a TSV AD and I ended up with mutliple shampoo/conditioner as the Ojon was so vile to use (the smell was awful) that I kept putting it away in the cupboard.

My IN was a gift from a friend at work. A few people are feeling for me since my friend's departure last week and my very emotional reaction. My friend was very sweet and bought me a bottle of Andrea Fullerton nail lacquer called Devine. I'm wearing it now but unfortunately the formula is rather gloopy and I've ended up smudging it again. Can't be bothered to remove it tonight now. Am going to dig out one of my "back up" bottles of Leighton Denny Supermodel to give her.

My Metro Chic has been despatched. Yay. x

Not sure what will be a UU next as I don't have many products that are spluttering.

The splutterers are starting to splutter their last - isn't a UU such a great feeling! This morning was Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Frizz Remedy - Love this, my hair loves it and I love the smell so defo WBA but not quite yet as a few conditioners in the stash, intensive or otherwise.

May as well also declare now as it'll be gone in the morning, Clinique Moisture Surge - Love the texture of this and non greasy feel. Makeup goes on lovely too on top of it. Is it worth the £30 price tag? I'd probably say yes but won't be replacing immediately as have a few different moisturisers in the stash that I want to whittle down first ideally.

    Hi all!
1 UU: TBS Tea Tree skin clearing face wash. WIBA? I'm not sure if this is making a difference to my terrible skin, and i've been using this bottle since January. Unsure at the minute. I have a load of other face washes to use up too.

I've been thinking about having a skin consultation type thing at a sk:in clinic I found in Glasgow. Has anybody had anything like this??
Nothing I do seems to help my spotty skin. I'm afraid that they'll just sell me expensive products though :(

2 INs from a TBS outlet special offer :o
2x Coconut shower cream 250ml. Completely unnecessary. :o
