No buying unnecessary toiletries in May - Challenge

No, can't be tempted. I have a bottle of Good Works oil to use.
I'm not doing the mascara swap either and not just for the reasons I mentioned - I actually don't have a spare full sized to swap.
Where's the free Molton Brown then?
Well its only free if you ignore the £80 each we're paying for the weekend. It was a luxury lodge with molten brown toiletries, it actually looked like we'd get a set each but was only 50ml products and one for bathroom so I have the reminder of a shampoo, conditioner and shower gel as INS plus the full size mint handcream BF treated me too when we went shoppingDebt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
using the jessica life jacket on my nails but don't like the rough crackle effect finish it has:(did put colour on top last time which helped abit but not great:(:(hope it works as quite expensive0

Well home from work and have now removed makeup, skin is still uncomfortable but not as sore as it was first thing. That area of my face is not as red, but most of my face is pink now hopefully it will sort itself out by the morning.0

Here goes with my birthday INs:
Lush
Rock star soap
Space girl bath ballistic
Urban Decay
Naked pallette:j
Eyeshadow primer 3.7ml
Clarins
Eau des jardins 100ml
Eau des jardins shower gel 50ml
Eau des jardins smoothing body cream 50ml
Had a lovely time in Bicester - I bought some things in Crabtree & Evelyn and L'Occitane but some will be gifts so just in the process of deciding what to keep and use my birthday money on and what to put in the gift store.0 -

I had vowed not to buy any toiletries in May, but I am afraid I was scuppered by the new Liz Earle make-up. Not strictly toiletries, but I count make-up as well so my ins for May have been:
50ml Liz Earle Conditioner
LE Loose Powder
LE Perfect Fix Concealer
LE Cream Blush in Nude
LE Precision Brush
LE Deep Cleansing Mask (freebie mini)
However I am determined that that will be all my ins for May (at least all my purchased ones).
I am getting very close to a couple of use ups- I have a LE Eyebright just about to go (HG- have one full size and a couple of minis in stock) and my TBS Green Apple shower gel only has a dribble left in too (have more TBS shower gel in stock too). I'm also hoping to finish up a Jergens Body Cream as my skin is so dry at the moment (I'm pregnant, baby seems to leech the oils from my skin) so that is good news for my body butter stash too!.
What do you think of the liz earle make up? XAll you need is less0 -

:VALM -this may sound like a silly question, but what do you use the Elemis Monoi Melt for? I have a bottle and I'm hoping I can use it as a hair mask when I run out of my Leonor Greyl palm oil (a possible HG!)
I don't use this as often as I should as it's a pain. It needs to stand in a bowl of boiling kettle water to melt not just hot water ie bath water. So, I use it when I can remember to bring the kettle up to the bathroom! Which is never. It is lovely to us though once I've taken the trouble. Have never actually used it on my hair but like to use it as a body lotion.evilsquid1603 wrote: »she also has this post about the concept of "lemming" products.
i.e. the ones we want because its special edition, everyone else has it, theres a wait list, its the new black and its SO PRETTY! even though it will metaphorically lead us to our "destruction" by following the crowd - just like real life lemmings.
i wonder who started it, but the concept is SO true. like the chanel limited edition polishes that get wait listed pretty much because its chanel and they have a new polish  its completely crazy!
I don't have time to read all the article but if anyone is lemming that particular nail lacquer a very good dupe is Leighton Denny I Love Juicy. The lemming is very cute though.
I am guilty of using that term too.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Another UU for me...fair getting through them this month
L'Occitane Immortelle Precious Cream 50ml - WBA - I love this. Must get into Edinburgh to pick up my freebie!0 -
VALM - I read about people putting the Monoi Melt in the shower or in the bath with them so that it would be melted when they got out! :rotfl: I really wanted to try it and managed to get it in a reduced kit (in January, before I joined this forum) and the only reason that I haven't used it is that I can't be bothered to melt it
Must try harder...
The Leonor Greyl oil that I'm using on my hair is solid but the mouth of the bottle is large enough to get a tiny scoop in and then I can melt it in my hands (i.e. it lets me be lazy so I've actually used it :rotfl:). I will miss it when it finished and that is why I am hoping the Elemis Monoi Melt can replace it.
A UU and a TA for me:
UU Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque (30ml) - I got two uses out of this and I really like it so WMBA once I've finished everything else. (I'm trying to get into the habit of deep conditioning my hair every Sunday)
TA No.7 Random blue mascara that was a GWP ages ago. This didn't suit me so it has gone in the bin.0
