LOL Rosemary - that cream must be amazing, its given those ladies diferent noses too... :D

Just off for a bath, only popped in to say hello - not anticipating any UUs. One IN from the weekend, the Loccitaine (i think?!) face wash that came with my glamour mag from whsmiths yesterday. No need to go on the step though - its going to be replacing the benefit one that ive decided needs to go in the bin...

    Hugs and love for everyone

I identify with this so much. I do exactly the same thing - including with clothes. I'm constantly looking at other people and thinking everybody looks better than me. I also buy clothes that i think are lovely and then think i'm not good enough to wear them if you know what i mean? I have always had huge self esteem issues but am slowly getting better. I've actually had the courage to where some of the stuff i've bought over the years this year. It was a bit daunting at first, but i'm getting there.

that could be me :o but I think I am getting better. I have a lovely BF who is very supportive but realte to what both posters have said.
    Hugs

Gave away two sanctuary gift sets in the last couple of weeks as birthday presents and have still only spent £2.20 on toiletries in May. However I am not sure if I have enough moisturiser to last till the end of May, if not I am planning on an emergency purchase of cheap Superdrug vitamin E cream to tide me over.

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend.

What a cracking discussion on collections. Very, very interesting, thank you all.

Regarding self - esteem. I can remember many years ago that a very glam friend told me I drove her nuts when she first knew me as I refused to improve my physical appearance in any way.

She told me that I'd told her that I saw it as something other people did, but as something that I couldn't or wouldn't do.

Part of that probably came from wearing a lot of make up, platforms, hot pants minis etc as a teenager, then marrying someone a lot older than me. I wore middle-aged shirtwaister dresses and pearl-buttoned cardigans in my late twenties, for GS... I dressed as a fifty something, frankly.

Fortunately I didn't go completely the other way on divorce and end up as mutton dressed as lamb, but I did have an enormously enjoyable period of wearing leather, going on loads of dates and attending gigs. Great stuff.

Do give yourself the permission to use the lovely things you have (PRCP- see my sig.) be they clothes, toiletries, whatever.

  • Ooooh please can i join, i know i'm a bit late but i really want to use everything and save some pennies in the long run. Do i just have to post my list? xx

I seem to have developed a slight facial problem this morning, and very unsure what has caused it. Didn't noice anything wrong with my face first thing, only noticed it after applying foundation (used EL BB Cream sample and EL loose powder, both used before). It appears to be a very red patch along the top of one cheek then round the side of my eye. I have applied some concealer and its no longer noticable, its has since become quite sore and I'm at work now ahhh.

Not sure what casued it or what to do about it really, hope it goes down soon.

Did you put a new eye cream on? That position is where an eye cream usually is. You might not get on with it if it's just there.

Looks like the Post Office have stolen my Amarya box :( I went to collect it this morning with the card that came through the door and was told 'we can't find it, you'll have to ring customer service' :(:(
